Hey everyone, there is a wildfire currently growing in the Paradise area of northern California. if anyone you know lives in Chico or the surrounding area, it’s probably a good idea to advise them to leave the city. Wind direction in the area (shown by two sources, Windfinder.com and earth.nullschool.net) trends southwest, which may spread the Camp Fire near the city.

Though Chico has not officially given orders to evacuate its citizens, it may be advisable to avoid the risk and leave the city for the time being. Thank you for your consideration.

Crazy lack of October rain here in Cali. I wonder how much of it can be attributed to Climate Change, and how much is natural variability?

Atmospheric rivers are some crazy shit man, they contribute 20 to 50% of California’s total annual rainfall alone[1]. Crazy as they are, I love watching it happen. It’s the coolest thing, I swear!
