1) during his Bar Mitzvah Jason doesn't read actual Torah passages. William Finn pieced together some Hebrew words and Torah lines he remembered from his time at Hebrew school. The last word of Jason's reading is "abah" (father); when he reads this word Whizzer reaches to touch his shoulder before Mendel takes him offstage. Throughout the musical Whizzer acts as a second father figure to Jason. This final gesture shows Jason how much Whizzer cares for him

2) during What Would I Do, Marvin takes his kippah off as he sings. Despite being Jewish, Marvin and his family make references to Christianity or mention that they don't believe in God. With Whizzer gone, Marvin removes his kippah (a garment worn during Jewish prayer) showing that the last of his faith has gone.

3) In More Raquetball, the symptoms of Whizzer's AIDS first begin to show, one of which is extreme weight loss. Rannells wears a much larger costume than in A Day In Falsettoland which shows how ill he's already become (I think I've seen this on this site before but it's an interesting fact)
