“Ugh, fine.” She straightened her blouse, shooing the bemused boy she’d been with away before plopping down beside Elizabeth, peering over at her curiously. “So what’s so interesting that you gotta concentrate that hard?”

“These classrooms are for making potions, not making out.”

“Merlin, Rod, I can’t tell if you’re threatening or trying to seduce me.”

“Sneaking out for a cigarette?” She tsked, her face solemn for a second, before a wide grin split her serious expression. “I like the way you think. Got any extra?”

“ Well then, your date must be lucky to be welcomed by the sight of them through out the night. “

“Dates, actually. Why limit myself and my assets to just one person, right?”

“ Language! “ Tilden responded, holding back a laugh as he went along to the beat of the music. “ That’s more like it. Woo, everything’s spinning! You’re spinning! “

“I’m not spinning, you’re spinning,” she protested, laughing. “I never knew you could dance. You been holding out on me, Tootsie Roll!”

“You say that it’s like a bad thing.”

“ Who says I’m smashed?! I am not smashed! ” Tilden announced with a sluggish grin. “ Come on, Dais, you’re proving to be a bad dancer than me! “

“Yeah? What are you drinking then, fuckin’ apple juice?” She gasped dramatically. “A bad dancer? Me? How dare you, Tilden Toots?” She grabbed his hands, dancing and twirling and pulling him along with her.

“ Oh, wow, woops. Blimey, sorry! “

“Tilden, I can’t breathe,” Daisy gasped between laughs. “I honestly think your dancing is five times better when you’re smashed.”

Evan laughed. “ I see they’ve been nourished well. “

“Hey, what can I say? They’re spoiled, everyone loves ‘em.”

“Thanks. Grew ‘em myself, actually.”

“That’s quite a claim. Got anything to back it up, or are you all talk?”

“I’m pretty sure this is spiked, because I feel way too comfy at a school dance.”
