I'm Not a Herb

So I decided I’m going to get a piercing even after my dad threatened to kick me out if I do so; however, before I go into the frenzy I need some advice about nose ring piercings.

The thing is, one side of my nose is larger than the other (the ala is larger on my left side). I don't want to make this even more obvious, so I'm wondering whether a nose piercing would make one side seem bigger or smaller. Should I get it on the smaller side (right) or the bigger side (left) ?
