im actually so excited for my vacation. im gonna be visiting my sister who's doing her phd in the us... im so excited to see what her life's like over there. ive never been on a plane for that long OR traveled that far on my own (we're going there together but i'm on my own for the return journey) but i felt like this is something i really had to do. do it scared they say. ANYWAY we'll also be doing a couple days in nyc which is exciting

Im having fun with one piece still but im noticing that it's very formulaic so far... there's a new place, we're learning about its people and history, there's a big bad, we're getting into fights with minor villains, the big bad is too strong for our crew except luffy, who is conveniently indisposed right until all seems lost and then he gets to beat the bad guy. It's not bad so far but i do hope theyre gonna shake it up soon. I want luffy to lose! I want non linearity! I want the crew to (get) split up, meet new friends, meet old friends, i want them to backtrack and struggle. And then i want a villain that is maybe not a villain? I want more worldbuilding. And from everything i know about one piece, i know i'm gonna get all this. I just hope i'm getting it sooner rather than later
