TLDR: The other day I came across a picture of a Hitachi catalogue [the one on the left] I believe, and many people commented how the woman posing in the cover looks almost like the 1987 TMNT version of April 0´Neil. Thus I decided to make this fanart, based on that piece of promotional photography [the one the right].
I also followed as best as I could the official model sheets produced for the cartoon series. Also I have to mention that I was going to make an alternate version featuring April's redesign in the "RED SKY" seasons, something I may do later, who knows.
Fun fact: the model number and letters present in the camera April is holding are a "hidden reference" that is a bit convoluted but makes sense to some degree...
MIRAEYE [which sounds like the word MIRAI, which is "Future" in Japanese], but the G, if you remove the YE and position the G between the A and E... you get the word "MIRAGE"
K is shorter for Kevin Eastman and P is shorter for Peter Laird
84 is short for the year 1984, the year the first issue of the TMNT comic was published by Mirage.

Released between the mid 80s and 90s, Gumi Megpoid's: The Galactic Giant was a concept album released in three parts (or acts as they're referred to), featuring a collaboration between the Vocaloid and Utau communities of Synth Music that were the trend at the time.
Starring Gumi and Teto, and other stars of their respective groups, this album; through its music and songs tells the story of an inquisitive, 400ft tall, galactic giant, who decided to hit up Earth out of sheer curiosity, and perhaps meeting a new friend or two. And with the later acts, Earth's boundaries were open for more intergalactic visitors and other exciting phenomena.
While there were some bumps in the road, the trilogy proved to be so strong in its impact and reception from the fans and listeners alike that it later received one spin-off or special LP and a robust line-up of merch.
And here's a Bonus: the fanart, presented without the LP Cover format.
Boiiiiii~ Where do I even begin!?
The origin of my fanart started when I browsed Twitter and found this charming fanart by the artist @koasku [Yo I had no idea they were in Tumblr, yo!]
Now I was going to draw something more directly based by this cute doodle of theirs [which retroactively would make it my first Pikmin fanart] when I then, said to myself, YO! what if Gumi was WUMBO and visited our world?
And just like that! that's how I came to make this fanart--and then it spun into a slightly complex job when I decided to try and make a variant in the format of a Vinyl Packaging/LP cover art, something I've never done before--Maaaaaan, this was fun. One thing I have to mention is; the japanese text present in the LP version of this fanart was done through "machine-based translation" and if I got anything wrong, I profusely apologize.
One more thing I would like to comment...
Its been a long time, nay, YEARS, since I drew anything involving the Vocaloids... The last time I drew them was back...between 2017 or 2018, back in my DeviantArt era. Maaaaan those years were "quirky" to put it kindly into words. And before you ask--unfortunately I no longer have those old pieces of artwork with me, but I can however recall from my memory that I drew Size art of the Kagamine twins respectively with ink and paper--
So yeah... Idk how to end this other than wishing you all the best in these difficult times~ SEE YOU ALL NEXT TIME!
This fanart featuring our favorite red roadster uses a "retro-styled" filter through an online app that's available to the public, a link will be provided right here: HEISEI-VHS
So for those interested in giving it a go, there you go~
OH!
and almost forgot, here's the unfiltered version of the fanart above~
PS: I might do another MR/Gobot fanart or something else, who knows!
POV: You're a little but mighty Net Navi who helped Megaman.EXE himself in deleting a deadly virus.
Fun fact: this is actually a remake of an old piece of fanart from my old old Deviantart days.. As well as a redux in which I replaced the background and tweaked a few details from its first incarnation I ever uploaded on this Tumblr page. Simply put, the background I originally went with didn't left me satisfied. You could say its "Red Sun and Blue Moon" in stark contrast hur-hur-hur~ ....Pardon the painful pun there.
Its been a long while hasn't it? And it has been even longer in regards to the context behind this fanart. Soooo~ a recap is needed!
Anyone remember my ELELUM fanart? Well, this mashup of Ranma and Ultraman Leo comes from the same Ultraseven/Urusei Yatsura Doujin. As said fanmade publication includes a short segment featuring the cast of Ranma as the MAC defense team with Ranma ..hilariously transforming into Leo through a well placed splashing of water instead of the Leo ring~ And even more hilarously Genma is casted as a Pandafied Alien Magma. A shame we didn't spend more time with this mash but what is there is fun.
As a bonus...
A composited version where I attempted to replicate the analog style as seen in old Anime and Film reels. It's tricky and hopefully it is competent/acceptable work on my part.

As part of an anthology of animated horror stories with shorts acting as in-between segments and/or intermissions--The Visitor: The Rumbling of the Deep was one of these shorts [and fittingly enough, serving as a nice transition to the next segment of the anthology featuring mixed media for its animation].
It features, as one of the reviews puts it best:
"A surprisingly mundane turn within this turn of events"
as we see the meeting between seller and client by midnight in the southern region of Chile [LATAM]--as for any fun facts in regards to "the making-of" for this short--Originally they planned to include Cthulhu of Lovescraft's stories and lore, but either copyright or simply wanting to go with a diferent route while evoking the same spirit in mind, led to the creation of "the visitor" as its own entity.
Despite its exclusion, Cthulhu was the thing to kickstart this story, as the director of this short explained in an interview last week how he and his big sister joked about the idea of Cthulhu being Chilean
[with the lore behind the titular entity, stating that it resides in the Southern Pacific Ocean, and Chile is smacked right in said territory].
With the director jokingly stating and picturing the entity going for a snack from a town while being casual-ish [and most likely speaking fluent Spanish with the Chilean accent]. Other fun facts include that if the visitor would have a name--it would most likely pivot between human and demon themes; Theo for the human naming scheme and Tumrac for the demon naming scheme respectively.
POST DATA: I'm extending my spooky month plans for what's left of the year--also I hope you liked this as much as me making it.
Director: Yasuhiro Imagawa
Creative Producer: Takashi Oda
Year of Release: 1999
Animated by: MADHOUSE
Will the world survive the advent of its new ruler?
Will humanity contend with the judgement of the Emperor?
From a GamePro article
Released and split into 3 parts (or acts) last month, HOTD2: A New Nightmare is an Anime OVA adaptation based on the second (and for the time rescent) release in the franchise--following the footsteps of the first OVA series HOTD: Horror Invoked which adapts the first game in an animated format--.
What might be a straight foward shot-for-shot take, soon turns into a greatly expanded and even "grounded" (as grounded the HOTD can be sometimes) take on the "Venice Outbreak" (the same applies with the first OVA series) with more stakes and detail that wasn't seen in the games themselves--Mr. Imagawa and Oda's joint effort to take the characters and setting outside of the arcade has proven thus far to be a success among the fans, and speculation is as ever more buzzling with rumors of a third OVA series...some say that it could come after perhaps a hypothetical third game gets announced or it could dive into an original storyline exclusive to Animation for the first time ever..Stranger things have happened before, like Castlevania starting as a console game and then getting adapted into arcades, unlike Contra or Gradius which went the other way but we digress.
Until then--we applaud the HOTD OVA series, easily one of the few and better game adaptations we have on the market.
.......if only we lived in that reality dudes--outside of the craptacular train wreck of Uwe Boll's adpations of HOTD, and the incoming and uncertainty-driven execution of Paul J Anderson's adaption (if it gets greenlit) that's coming in the near future, its a shame we still haven't gotten an adaption of HOTD in animation, a medium that offers endless possibilities in comparison to live action and has proven in rescent times with Castlevania for example (yeah the reference was intentional) and even Resident Evil have proven to be successful when done right.
PD: I might make of these screenshots based on HOTD in the future--I´m also open for suggestions too in regards to these.
The origins of the Devil Invaders in the Machine Robo storyline (1985), to me at least, falls in the Cosmic Horror category--think about it, the Devil Invaders were MR's and became victims of the warping powers of the Casmo Zone once the star near Romulos went supernova and collapsed into a black hole that lead to this nightmarish dimension--It is because of this fact that I decided to go with one of the best cosmic horror stories of the decade for this parody/fanart.
𝗙𝗨𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗦
1) Takeru Akiba
Akiba is the first human protagonist in the MR franchise--back in the first version of the MR storyline seen in 1982 before the later version of the storyline in 1985 with the Devil Invaders and the Chronos saga in 1986--A computer wizard who proctects Earth with the supercomputer BUDDY who helps the Machine Robo in their battle against the Dogra aliens.
2) Mara Eagle Díaz
She´s an Eagle Robo and one of the main protagonists in this hypothetical Machine Robo horror story.
3) Anya Targonova
If you know of the lore of the Challenge of the Gobots you know her very well.
4) The Team
If you know your animators in the SAKUGA scene, the director, and music composer, you know~
POST DATA
I'll try my best to finish the rest of my SPOOKY MONTH fanarts and drawings!
wish me luck~!
It started out as simple fan art—a reinterpretation of Gobots' Crusher as a treat for myself—but gradually I developed this small design theme and aesthetic with reference to retro magazines such as Newtype.
To be honest, I had always wanted to try my hand at magazine cover design, but thanks to the advice of my sister, who is well versed in graphic design, I think I was able to express this look well.
PS: its not a real magazine of course...also I might do more of these in the future~
Originally planned to be released on Twitter only to be postponed for 3 years due to the shifting status of the site as whole. This was planned to be, essentially, my take on the six fanart challenge over on said site but for the size community and in it I chose 6 lucky suggestions which I decided to compile and share here! So without further adieu...here's the entire collection!
Soaring Snowy Heights

Flight of The Nano
Requested by: Leah
Featuring Nano Shinonome and Professor Hakase from Nichijou
BIG BATTLE BORG
Requested by: @roytheboy2077gt
Featuring the Battle Girl borg from Capcom's Gotcha Force
New YoRHa Update: Super Heavy Unit
Requested by: Obliveratrix
Featuring the titular automata 2B
Divine Intervention Successful
Requested by: Drac!
Featuring MMZX Advent's Atlas
Special Thanks to: LETSGETBIG! as they aided in this drawing as my first Mega and Giga titaness!
Nile High Guardian
Requested by: Su-Sano
Featuring Mana from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series
And with that, after 3 years, I finally completed what I started!
Putting aside how I was able to complete each drawing and generally being happy by how each one turned out, there was a lot of things that prevented me from publishing this challenge at all, the main one being the status of Twitter itself after it's takeover by a laughing joking numbnut, one who's currently messing up North America due to ineptitude among other things [godspeed to all of my friends and buddies over on the USA].
But the other, more personal reason, is my issue with management of time between college, free time, etc, etc, etc, very ADHD/ASD of my part I know [and also, yes, I am neuro divergent myself, diagnosed since the mid 2000s] and to this present and onwards I'm doing my best to conquer this issue.
With nothing else to write I hope all of you had a fantastic Christmas, merry Holidays, and I wish you all the best of luck on the encroaching new year that's on the horizon!

And I decided to go with titular G1 Season 03 episode where the Quintenssons bring back Prime..as a cyber-zombie as part of a dark stratagem only for that plan to backfire thanks to the Matrix of Leadership and Prime's own spark rising once more time.
For this fanart I drew inspiration from the work of Studio OX, a group whose illustrations are easily my favorites when it comes to art styles or aesthetics in the vast Transformers Multiverse [also Studio OX even worked on "Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier" which makes my appreciation of their craft even better!]
It might come across as selfish on my part but if I could, I would love to re-animate season 3 of G1 Transformers, I won't go over the whole story but suffice it to say that AKOM's episodes did eclipse the good episodes/vibe the season was going for but that's just my opinion.
PS: the next drawing will be the one I teased on the Puft Woman's post
For @saffrox7650 I hope you liked this as much as I have when making it~
Based on a piece of art Saff drew a long time ago
I liked their design so much I made it into a fan art [a fanart I had sitting on my archives for a while btw--sorry for the wait] where I gave it the "canon" size of the original Stay Puft boi from Ghostbusters~
For my buddy @michaelmac6072 I hope you've enjoyed this as much as I had in making it! :)
Did you know?: There's a Doujinshi [I.E. a fanmade manga/independent publications] called "Noisy Seven Stars Utsukushiki Shinryakusha Fukkokuban" [ウル星セブン] which essentially its a mashup between the crazy world of Rumiko Takahashi's Urusei Yatsura and the Scifi Tokusatsu classic Ultraseven...and it exists!
An affectionate parody featuring the residents of Tomobiki in both the invaders and Ultra Guard roles--one that features the brilliant mashup between Lum, the space oni invader with dominion over thunder with Ultraseven's Eleking, my favorite electric dino eel boi--this next part it's no sponsor but more so a word of attention for those who really like Doujins, this UY/Ultraseven mash is still available to purchase...unfortunately it lacks an English translation at all.
BONUS DOODLES~
On the left is Elelum about to go on the offensive [also yes, she can literally change her face into that of Eleking in the Doujin whenever she goes beast/aggro mode, it's even featured in the concept art/model sheets this Doujin group developed] while on the right we get the pleasant image of the thunder titaness lending a ride to a group of little fellas you might recognize~
After the investigation/hunt for Jaquio and his ultimate end in the Amazon [and before the Dark Sword Incident]; CIA operative Irene Lew would formally become acquainted with the last person on the world bearing the title of Dragon Ninja--Ryu Hayabusa.
The two would team up once again, this time around they work together to stop a dark plot orchestrated by a war cell in a disclosed installation, this cell is using an artifact called "The Eye of Magkoss" that can shape shift the mass of any object or person. And it just so happens that both Ryu and Irene infiltrated in the middle of their tests on humans!
Thankfully the cell was stopped, but in the meantime as the Eye of Magkoss is figured out, Irene has to guard the unlucky person that was..quite literally..sized down a notch..
Ah~ it feels great to draw wholesome/cool stuff once more, especially G/t related.
Depicted here is Ninja Gaiden's heroic lady and starcrossed lover to Hayabusa; Irene, saving the lone victim from an unusual, demon-made contraption, plus the aftermath from the final blow given to the wilder of the Eye.
PD: A shame there's not enough Fanart of not just Irene Lew herself but for the Original Ninja Gaiden trilogy [emphasis on the trilogy that uses Roman Numerals and was made for the NES/Famicom]...or even G/t Fanart of Irene.
[fun fact: this began because I fooled around with The Death Generator and made a custom image of Irene saying to an unseen tiny person that "there's nothin' to worry about" and then it clicked and you know the rest X) ]
What could've been--the untold odyssey of the Megaroad-01 across the great milky way!
Ever since the original broadcast of Super Dimension Fortress Macross and the release of the music video Flashback 2012, many fans have always wondered what happened to the original cast before the.....how should I put it....."arbitrary narrative decision" [and their rather "questionable" participation via the last piece of Macross Delta content] and since I got on a rather Protocultural mood I decided to make this little Fanart! a mock-up comic cover inspired by The Comico Comic Company's adaptation of Macross through it's Robotech counterpart [specifically: issue 35 ].
[Sidenote: to be honest--its one of the few covers I liked from their work] Basically what I did was: setting it up in the Macross universe and stripping away it's Robotech robes, changing the context of the original [and to quote one of my friends, make it less "Instinctively patriotic" feeling in comparison to the Comico ver.] with "the Eve of the Space Emigration Initiative" as the background/new context.
To be frank with you fellas: Originally I was going to just leave the drawing alone like that--but the idea of making a "mock-up comic cover variant" won me over and honestly it makes me want to practice my skills on creating cover art not just for Macross related content [or any franchise really] but also for my original projects in the near future as well.
Before I end the post with the variants of this Fanart I have some special mentions/credit to give:
Mechaban
I recommend y'all give him a watch or check out his work, as he not only does Macross but also work based on Mospeada and Southern Cross [especially in their Robotech counterparts + the Robotech EU among other cool stuff], and he's the same cool dude who provided us Protoculture Fans a mock-up of what Hikaru's dress uniform might look like which I used for this Fanart.

My first Minecraft fanart! and I decided to make my own take on the iconic Creepy Creeper~
I had tons of fun sketching, tracing, and inking this from begining & end before I then went ahead to add some neat touches [small corrections, texts, and the color filter]. Plus learning a few things along the way while writing the bits of text in this "bestiary" styled log--such as how the enchantment texts in Minecraft are actually an existing font [Galactic Alphabet] as supposed to being made for the game, and that apparently the consensus for the Creeper's scientific name is Creepus Explodus.
