What i think would be more interesting is that each Enclave spot should have their own variation of Mark 2 power armor. Due to differences in resources, needs, man power and lack of communication.

We can already see the difference between mark 2 Enclave armors between fallout 2s Advanced mark 2 power armor and what was named as an upgrade to the original enclave armor The Black Devil armor or east coast power armor

The Fallout 2 advanced armor is basically almost identical to the original advanced armor, keeping that turtle shelled look that the x01 has while the Devil armor has far more gaps and is more specificalized in design.

I believe it would be interesting for each Enclave installment to have their own variant of Mark 2 armor in name and design so their shouldn't be any lore breakage with their installments and the reasons for their differences.
