It strikes me as significant that when Akutagawa was talking about striking down the plane, he specified that it would be their victory - he's using a plural pronoun 僕等 right there, in a separate speech bubble for emphasis.

He definitely thinks of himself and Atsushi as one unit, inseparable. And it's only emphasized by how he sprung to action at Atsushi merely mentioning what needs to be done.

Let’s get one thing straight: Chuuya Nakahara may be 5'3", but that man is built like a luxury sports car — compact, powerful, and absolutely not here to be called Dazai’s delicate little twink boyfriend. The internet has committed a grave sin by reducing him to “small = soft,” when in reality, he’s tossing people into walls like it’s a competitive sport.

First of all, twinks don’t bench press entire buildings with gravity powers. Twinks don’t punch with the force of a small explosion. Twinks do not wear skin-tight black turtlenecks that show off defined muscle lines. Did y’all just look at Harukawa’s arts of him and say, “Yeah, that’s Dazai’s dainty little arm candy.” Be for real.

Also, let’s talk energy. Chuuya’s not the blushing sidekick, he’s the one threatening murder, breaking things, and carrying the emotional and physical weight of every mission he’s ever been on. If anything, Dazai’s the dramatic one who fakes monologues like a theater kid. It's with his manipulative, questionable ways of twisting conversations that cause Chuuya to go red sometimes. But really, Chuuya’s too busy being an icon, stylish and jacked.

So, stop projecting twink energy onto this war crime in human form. He’s a wine-drinking, ass-kicking menace (Sorry, that sounded corny) with a healthy build.
