this is just a vent post but a whole year of trying to downplay my attraction for women/be more “straight” for the sake of my female friends has really caught up with me. my roommate is totally accepting but i think it makes her uncomfortable sometimes? and my new roomates this coming year are accepting as well but with the attitude of “well i don’t want to change in front of her”. like if i brought a girl back to they apartment 4/5 of them would be wigged the fuck out. and idk i don’t like making my friends uncomfortable or causing conflict or making things awkward but not being able to fully display that part of me around my girl friends can sometimes be really draining. even with my best (girl) friends i feel like i can’t talk about it because they would feel weird and i don’t want to make them feel like that. i feel like i can’t talk to them about it or express it upsets me because it would make me feel even worse :/
