They put the Heated Rivalry OST on Spotify so I had to listen to it a bunch and now I have to rewatch. And I tell you what, it is fascinating which scenes get the rivalry theme vs the lust theme vs the love theme.

Like, bathroom scene where they argue and negotiate kinky sex? Slowed down, minor toned version of the love theme! Would have expected lust theme there but they're cuing that the scene is really about how they love and miss each other, but I guess can only communicate that via DS sex. Then we get to the sex scene and get..a relative of the rivalry theme. Where's that post that says everything in sports is about sex, except sex which is about winning?

I hope the crew had a hearty giggle over using the Wagnerian leitmotif system to denote which gay sex scenes are about competition and which ones were about love. Too bad the lust motif disappears so quickly, it's a great riff, but these boys catch feelings quick.
