Hii! Could I request a fic or headcanons about Shu,Yuma and Yui being in a relationship,idk i always liked them be in a poly relationship mainly because of how their dynamics works. And could u please not make Shu and Yuma be in a competition for Yui's love I saw a few posts in the past and they were making them literally just sharing Yui, for me all 3 of them love one another
So first of all, I apologize for any misrepresentation I might do here since I have never had experience nor knowledge about poly relationships . I know the general idea and I have done research about it and I hope this is to your liking π
Yushui (yuma shu yui) poly headcanons:
β’yui is the middle spoon . She loves the feeling since it helps with bad dreams to always wake up in the arms of her partners.
β’shu is always more awake with them around . He lives off teasing both of them .. he likes seeing his partners' reactions ..both so different but equally as precious.
β’yui might feel sometimes like she wishes she had a deeper bond as the one both share since childhood . But shu and yuma always (in their own way) reassuring her that if it wasn't for her they wouldn't have gotten together like this.
β’Yui loves baking for both of them..yet always has to make 2 batches since these two have total different sweetness tolerances
β’the first time shu laughed so hard was once during yuma and yui having a small argument if you can call it one and yuma told her she's a pain in the ass while yui responded ''well, you're a pain in the neck ''.

How did they meet:
β’they first met in a ball thrown by the vibora clan . She was from a noble family from the vibora clan (obviously)
β’ Azusa was there with ruki since his other brothers had refused (kou had work and yuma doesn't like balls ) . Ruki had to come since Karl asked them to go instead of him cuz he genuinely doesn't care about such balls (he's too old for that and too buzy).
β’ So ruki had to bring azusa with him (the boy was easy going π)
β’ruki was being surrounded by women cuz he is so well knows there...azusa took the chance to stray and went to the garden when he saw a shadow...a dark green gown ..long hair...and jumping from the railing of the balcony above... into the garden bushes...their eyes met.
β’She lost balance from the distraction and fell.. and they collided.
β’ she had fallen on him and he found himself laying there and her on him ... he was taken back..green was his favourite colour.. it never looked better than now.
β’After them apologising as formality obliged .. he asked her ''why...did...you....do...that..'' . His calm slow voice seemed to surprise her with how gentle it seemed...since when vampires were this ...calm.
β’she was obviously avoiding the men who wanted to dance with her . She just did what she always did and ran away. It's not her first time jumping from the balcony.
β’ but she is not stupid to tell a MAN that..she instead said '' I fell'' a total lie..he should get the message and leave. But for some reason this guy asked her the weirdest think she ever heard '' so.... you.... love ....pain?'' ..it took her a moment of staring...then she laughed..a lot the boy seemed confused .
β’this was the beginning for their relationship.. he wasn't performing and he was unique and honest.. she usually preferred men to be fictional..and he stayed cuz she charmed him...she was the sun to his moon .

β’ Her name was ethelinda ..literally meaning" noble serpent ".
β’ she was born in the mid 19th centry...considered to be so young by the demons.
β’She got a straight black hair that they try so hard to curl for her (fashion) and yet it only does so slightly. Her eyes are emerald . Which made her considered as a vibora beauty standard... her body was a pear shape and she was only 160cm (5"3' ish..idk bro how to use the feet stuff to measure π₯²)
β’ Her parents are the kind who had her by accident and ended up benefiting from her as she grew into her beauty cuz that means a great possible alliance they can use. But they still do not really need that kind of thing from her since they already did so with their other daughters and they already have 2 sons so she is easily forgotten.
β’ She got a black snake of her own .. her best friend since childhood since snakes of this race are like their owners..live a LOT. its name is nyx .
β’She is so into art.. she often paints a lot ..mostly landscapes she sees in her dreams and some visions . Also she loves sketching animals especially her snake who is her favourite muse.
β’in terms of personality people are devided.. to some who mostly are nobility and 'important people' she is the typical noble girl yet who is surprisingly artistic and philosophical and witty. But for others...oh boy she is chaos. She has a sense of humour that is unhinged but also witty and strange but it is part of her charm.
β’She as well likes to write A LOT . She owns many many poems she writes when feeling things deeply .. she writes stories and still works on some novels..she loves building worlds and people . And that also means she loves reading..a lot of fiction she got 2 libraries in her family's mansion.
β’unlike many girls she is allowed to have lovers or be with anyone since they don't exactly care about her existence.. she literally since childhood can get dressed as a servant and sneak out and they don't notice..she is grateful for that since long ago.
β’she loves visiting the human world and stuff that she is known there as a writer .. she looks 19 and she uses her shape-shifting powers to publish books and get the money ..she prefers using her real face to blend in with humans and live like one for fun.
The actual relationship headcanons:
β’ ethelinda is the yapper..azusa is the listener ..both are introverts but at different degrees.
β’He started learning painting because of her . She is his teacher and she loves doing this job.
β’he loves her snake .. he often gets it to bite him but ethelinda already gave him the antidote so he doesn't die .
β’ she doesn't seem disturbed nor disgusted by his masochistic side... she is optimistic and so understanding .
β’Her new novel has the ml based on azusa.
β’Ruki was at first not okay with their relationship but Karl told him to just let them be.

So guys, I have an idea . I realised how phone addictions are not always just those of tiktok or short form videos. Some have different kinds of addictions that the phone caused . So I was thinking about posting this to see if it's a good idea to have many people sharing what addictions they got because it is annoying to see how much of these people on the Internet or else saying that we are addicted to our phones just because of social media. For example some get addicted on Ai bots chatting apps ...some on fabrication...and not just as a funny joke about addiction but serious ones that had affected the person's life mostly negatively and the worst is that most of these addictions are not even acknowledged at all due to them being so unique unlike the classic 'tiktok and Instagram ' reels addictions tht millions of videos and studies are done about .. and people with these unique addictions might feel ashamed of having such addictions they don't tell anyone and just try to heal themselves on their own ... or can't even explain to others why they changed because they feel ashamed to tell that it is their addictions that changed them.

So i am and i always were a 'nerd' and i was proud of it and it was always a hige part of my personality growing up ..my grades for me were a mark of value..high grades a higher value .a low grade? You are a shame .. and for me it wasn't studying for the sake of being studious..it was to ensure i am able to own my future and my success which is my dream of being a surgeon..and now i am just ranting and i hope someone enjoys it or relates to it but my main goal is just me letting go and expressing my feelings hoping that a random girl or person picks it up and maybe says 'oh yeah i get it' or whatever..cuz hey I was just scrolling randomly after my long day of school from 8 to 5 and i wanted to rannt about it at 8 pm to the public .
Anyways , I had this boy...well before that . It was in October that I met her (song reference), but yeah, it's been 5 months that I knew him and we met in the friend group of our class and he's a year younger than Me but yeah he is so nice and pretty much a gentleman but we are just friends but we grew closer to each other and he fell for me the past month....but me...silly me...whom never had a male friend so it was all new for me this year ..but I was so unused to that much attention from a guy who is a total gentleman but my girl friends from the group told me he was preparing to ask me out on valentines....but I can't...I am muslim so it is haram (forbidden) for us to date but in my society it is so normalised to 'walks with a guy as a form of dating but minus any of the western dating situations but they have contacts they walk together they go on dates and stuff...as a 'courting but to just pass time at highschool or in other stages of life....well yeah last year I wanted to have a boyfriend at some point (cuz of bad friends influence) and before that I used to hate on couples at school with my friends....but here I am ...being asked out by a guy so perfect......it is a bit sad ...it was sad and my moods were so bad cuz my self image wasn't that I wanted to be single...but the guy was just so nice ....
There is so much to say, so if you relate a bit to a studious nerd girl experiencing her first relationship but rejecting it because of both or one of these two... school and religion or morals... and ask for part two if you want (I doubt it though)
I hope that this post wonβt get me permanently cancelled from the fandom, but I have been thinking about why DL has lost some of its appeal.
Disclaimer: Mentions of Abuse, victim blaming, violence, and more ahead. If youβre not comfortable with that, donβt read. Also, not proofread. I simply wrote down what came to mind.
Firstly, the franchise is over 10 years old. Some forgot about it, and others grew out of it. That is to be expected. Though the fandom itself is one of the most loyal I have witnessed. Fans come back after years or are that invested in one of the brothers. For me, I occasionally find myself disinterested in DL, mainly because of the lack of content, or I am simply invested in newer content.
Secondly, the Animeβs are justβ¦bad. If you didnβt have prior knowledge of the games they were based on, they felt confusing. Even I as a fan had a few scenes that made me cringe. This reputation did not do Rejet well. But admittedly, itβs also a franchise that isnβt for everyone. The bad reputation it has received from Anime onlys surely managed to throw off many potential fans.
Third of all, that is where it might get controversial, is the ingenuity of the brand. The franchises name itself suggests not so nice themes. Anyone who is familiar with the first games and Drama CDβs knows this was a very present theme. From Laitoβs infamous HBD route, to Ayato threatening to rip off your leg in the MORE, BLOOD Drama CD, and even blaming you for letting you two get kidnapped in the first place, knowing you possibly couldnβt have fought against vampires says enough. I liked that, not because i excuse abuse in any way, but because characters like this usually arenβt portrayed as much. I mean even Kanatoβs HBD route was insane. To me, it was the scariest route out of all.
In the end, all boys were horrible, some more than others, but still all terrible people. Yui didnβt change the boys at the end of HBD, she had to adjust to THEM, and that is sadly more realistic than the other way around.
Softening the boys, or downplaying the sheer danger they portrayed, has always been prominent βissueβ within the fandom. Back a few years ago, Yui was more hated on than any of the brothersβ¦which is crazy to believe now. That primary stemmed from the craze about βstrong heroinesβ, i presume, and victim blaming itself. What went missing is the fact that Yui has always been strong. Maybe not physically, but mentally. Yet that simply wasnβt favored. OCβs were created that had a bit too much power, making the brothers appear more as jokes, rather than predators that pose a serious threat. Was this because of the Anime? Who knows. From what we know, Yui never had a chance to escape. They can smell her from kilometers away, they could send their familiars her way. Itβs simply impossible. Also, if they werenβt instructed NOT to kill Yui, she would have been dead shortly after her arrival at the mansion like the brides before her. No human stands a chance against them. Thats facts. Any resistance merely meant an early demise.
Over the years I have noticed that the games were less focused on their cruelty, but more on the romance itself. βRedeemingβ them, or trying to understand the brothers better. That makes sense since it is an Otome game, but itβs not very on brand for the franchise. The boys are sadistic, cruel, and have different morals than we do. This fact is what made DL stick out from the rest of the vampire content to me. No sparkles, no romance in the healthy way, but complicated, problematic vampires that both lure you in with their charm, but also make you feel repulsed.
I dont like the romanticization of DL that much, simply because they are so horrible. Look at any of their bad endings. Yuma in MB beat Yui to death, only for him to consume her, if I recall correctly. Their βloveβ is conditional. The moment they suspect Yui cheating, itβs realistically over for her. Sheβs never truly safe with them. None of them understand true love, and love itself canβt fix everything or everyone.
Yui also became an abuser in some endings, showing that abuse can be passed on by even previously nice characters. I loved this detail not for its cruelty, but because it shows what abuse can do to your mind. All of the brothers were victims of abuse, and have endured trauma. That however does not excuse their actions. Neither are any of them goodβ¦and that is okay. I would rather let this fact stay as is, rather than desperately trying to make them good.
Just because they arenβt always bad, or have their nice, or even vulnerable moments, doesnβt take away from the fact that they arenβt always bad. The brothers are first and foremost abusers. Could they change after so many years? Yes, yet I doubt any of them would want to. It would mean giving up part of their vampire identities, as vampires by nature are predators. They need to hunt to survive. Empathy would simply stand between them and their survival. Then comes the fact that they arenβt always bad simply used to being this way. Growth requires observing yourself, self restraint, and changeβ¦which very little would actually pull through.
Oh, and just because theyβre kinder to Yui doesnβt make them nice either. They still harbor some of their old beliefs in most of the endings, and are horrible to everyone but Yui.
So how does that all tie together?
I think the essence of the franchise has been a bit lost. The sadism, the uncomfortable topics have become scarce, and some of the boys have been watered down to make them more compatible with this whole romanticization process. Laito, for example, from what we witnessed him as during HBD route, likely could never truly love, or it would take time, and a lot of effort from his side. His whole view on relationships and where you should draw the line are all messed up.
I dont mean to tell anyone how to portray the boys or what games to like, etc.
This is simply my take. The newer games and content are not bad. The problem for me is simply that they didnβt manage to grab my attention as much as the previous titles did. I am also no DL expert, I havenβt read all the routes, nor do I know everything by heart about the games. So I might be wrong about all this, but this is just my personal opinion.
In the end, itβs all just fiction. Everyone has formed their own opinions, and have their own experiences with DL. As long as itβs enjoyable for you, thatβs what matters.
