゜゜・ a (re)introduction to studyblr ・ ゜゜
hi everyone! i’ve been on studyblr for a while – i was a veteran studyblr under a different name & the account is still there, but it exists more as an archive for me – so this is my second shot!
**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ about me ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*
you can call me valentine, or val for short!
pronouns are she/her, i’m also 💅
best aesthetic to describe me is chaotic academia
i will be tracking #kaimenestra so feel free to use that tag!
**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ my academics ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*
i am a college student! in my second year right now
my major is area studies (specifically east asian studies), but i take a lot of law/social justice-adjacent courses too
thinking of law school and/or grad school :)
my academic interests lie strictly in the humanities – languages, literature, law, and social science research are big parts of my life
**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ my goals ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*
i’m hoping to get fluent in my target languages, so i’ll be documenting them here. i speak english and a chinese dialect, but i’ll be studying a mix of: mandarin chinese, korean, german, ukrainian, and french!
i like to do research, and am currently on track to be published in an academic journal by the end of undergrad!
i am also the type of person who loves reading but doesn’t actually read that much, so hopefully this helps me read again!
the rest (non-academic info & tags) under the cut for length reasons
