Foxface - She wasn’t strong or a fighter, and avoided confrontation at all costs. She was practical and logical. The brief looks we get at her personality gives me autism vibes (I'm autistic) so I feel connected to her in that way. I wish she could have teamed up with Katniss and Rue.

Gale - Basically the same problems as Jacob from Twilight. He is not romantic, he's possessive. (Not saying Gale is an evil person but he has flaws and Katniss is just *not interested in him*. No means no!)

Mrs Everdeen (Katniss' mum) - I would love to read a short story from her perspective. She is such a complex, troubled character.

That's a tough one, but I'll try!

THG: My favourite moment is when Rue dies, it's so beautifully heartbreaking. Its when the reality of the games really hits Katniss and is the beginning of the end for the capital.

CF: My favourite moment has to be when all the tributes join hands on stage after their interviews. Its all these traumatised people holding onto each other, recognising the pain they share. They don't do it for the rebellion (although that is a definite positive they are all aware of), they do it for each other and for themselves. Just a wonderful moment of pure humanity.

MJ: It's probably a bit cliché but my favourite part is the ending with Katniss and Peeta playing Real or Not Real. Its a moment between them similar to their moments in the first book yet everything has changed. It's a reminder that everything that happened, happened because two kids cared for each other. It was always about love, family, and friendship. The one thing that cannot be killed.

I write my fics out in Google Docs and then paste the text into Ao3 when I'm ready to post it. Does anyone else have the problem of pasting with italics? If there's a word in italics next to punctuation, Ao3 will add in a space for some reason and it's kind of infuriating.

One of the AO3 translation volunteers (Min) created a Google Docs script to handle issues when copying from a doc into AO3. It’s really easy to use

create a copy of this google doc. It contains the script that will do all of the HTML formatting for you.

Delete all of the text from the document.

Write or paste your fic/chapter into the document.

Go up to the top menu and click the new menu option Post to AO3, then choose Prepare for posting into the HTML editor

Note: because this is an apps script, you’ll need to give it permission to run the first time.

The script will automatically mark up your document with the required HTML that you can then paste into the AO3 composition window. \o/

To revert your text back to normal, just go back up to that menu and choose Remove HTML. It will look like regular text again.

Once you have the doc, you can make a new copy of it for each new fic you write and that way you’ll always have that script available when you need it :)

Does anyone know a good Doctor Who quote about “Goodbye” or “I’ll wait for you”? I’m writing a fic and would love to have a character say a DW quote but am struggling to find one that fits.

Or if OP is looking for something more along the lines of “I’ll wait for you” then there’s the Doctor’s line from earlier in that speech, “Someday, I will come back. Yes, I will come back.” (Though that won’t do for the character who’s doing the waiting)

Also there’s “Don’t forget me.”
