NIGHT TERRORS.

        “You mean me being pregnant.” She says it rather bluntly, but it’s like she can hide it anymore. It’s pretty obvious, given she’s about to pop in about a month. And that cannot come any sooner. Why does pregnany have to take nine months? The Sims has it way better with it just being like a week. “I’m also married, but I got pregnant before that so doesn’t help much with the whole sin thing.” 

        “Thank God, I was worried you were dragging me somewhere exciting …” She sighs, heading for the door after him, palming her keys to re-lock the door once they’re in the hallway. “Y’know – when I started this job, I thought it’d be more …. secretarial …” Not that she really cared, it wasn’t like she was neck deep in the supernatural going-on’s of the world in her day to day life ANYWAY. 

he’s like a cat. she can see the vaguest desire in his eyes to nudge the statuette off the table, but lilith leans in to rescue the porcelain nun, and put her back where she goes. ‘ don’t break other people’s things. ‘

‘ that’s not quite where that goes. ‘

       “We don’t have beer.” At least, not right now. Cathryn doesn’t drink it, even if she wasn’t pregnant. It’s gross piss water. She should be more alarmed that Marcus is just in her house, but it’s not anything that’s new. “You’re a sight for sore eyes.” 

A warm quiet evening. There’s nothing like resting on the balcony, enjoying the view. The whole world is still, almost lazy and half-asleep. Normal people would consider it an ultimate bliss, but chills are crawling all over Helena’s back and she’s very tense, unable to fully relax or believe that nothing will jump off the nearest tree and attack her. That is why she is on her second bottle, desperately trying to drown her demons in the whiskey.

     Honestly, Marcus was kind of shocked that no one has called the cops at this point. He’d been climbing up the side of this building for a little while now, pulling himself up from balcony to balcony. There was probably an easier or smarter way to get around the safeguards that had been put in place, but this is what he thought of first and he was very much a creature of impulse. Surprisingly, it had worked fairly well so far. He hadn’t been shot yet and he hadn’t come across anyone sitting out enjoying the view. Until now, that is.

        “Well, why didn’t you lead with that.” She heaves a sigh, sparing one last glance towards her kitchen, before she gives the endeavor up, grabbing her keys as a smirk flickers across her own face. At least he’d looked pleasant for half a second. That was nice. “Can we try to keep the trouble at a minimal level, I’m not as durable as you are ….”
