sukuna trying and miserably failing to get a rise out of yuuji during the shinjuku showdown is something quite serious to me
People picturing Yuuji as the submissive type is one of my biggest pet peeves because they see his agreeableness not as him being easy going/serviceable (what it is) but as submissiveness (what it is not), and these are two entirely different things.
You're submissive when you do things because you are told to do so. You're submissive when you bend to other people's wills. You're submissive when you allow yourself to be controlled by other people.
Yuuji does most (not all) of the things people ask him to do/ask of him because he actively wants to do those things in the first place and not because he prefers to be under someone else's control because he is serviceable, easy going and generally agreeable. He is only doing whatever he wants to do and it just so happens that he is happy/down to do pretty much anything. It also just happens that for the entirety of JJK he is surrounded by people who always need him/something from him at all times so we often see him doing something for someone else/following up on requests and such because, re: he is easy going, agreeable and serviceable.
But it is always an active choice from him when he does go along, as Yuuji actually quite strongly dislikes being told what to do/what not to do and you can clearly see that facet of his personality at multiple different times in the manga/the show. If he doesn't want to do something, he is NOT doing that thing. We can see that over and over again.
He's just generous with his time and energy and easy-going, and for some reason that escapes me, there is a sizeable chunk of the fandom that conflates those traits with submissiveness.
As my beautiful king Sukuna himself once put it, Yuuji is indomitable, and it is quite literally the whole point of him.
I'd call that fact essential to JJK's narrative, even.

gege knew we wouldn't be seeing megumi for a long time after ch212 so he went out of his way to make him extra beautiful for the dead wife boyfriend montages
what if Yuuji had just... eaten him?

when yaga masamichi said you had to be a little fucked up in the head to become a sorcerer and gege delivered on the promise so nearly every single jjk character is their own particular, delectable flavor of crazy
