In trying to keep her from being a predatory lesbian, they made her whole character centered around a man. Idk about anyone else but I’m not super interested in a fem!strahd whose backstory and arc even more heavily centers Sergei than the original Strahd’s does. In general I’m very meh on the writings I’ve seen on tumblr for writing fem!strahd, because they center making her less evil and specifically less morally repugnant. “Would you let fem!strahd kill women and children?” Yes? Obviously? I get why ppl may want to tone down how ethically void Strahd is, not all tables vibe with an incel-y conquerer who kills indiscriminately and frequently just to make a point, but why would fem!strahd necessarily have to be better than him in that way? It is possible to make a character be a predator and a lesbian without it being a predatory lesbian stereotype imo. Let fictional vampire lords be jealous, pretty, cruel pieces of shit!
