Yes hello I’m back for just a moment to post a fic for a pairing I’ve never posted for before, surpriseeeeee
I threw caution to the wind with Spiderman lore and abilities, so just bear with me here, I wanted cute shit. Voilà, the Spiderboyfriends Au. I personally imagine TH Peter, but imagine whichever version you like. It’s not Peter B Parker, and Peter and Miles are a year apart and in college. Also, the 'tingle' happens like it does in “Into the Spiderverse” when the Spiderfolks meet each other.
Started this fic a whiiiiiiile ago and it was so close to finished that I figured I'd just post it. Could be better or more polished but I still dig it. Enjoy a perview with a link to the full fic below!
Peter’s day started with a tingle of his spidey senses. He’d just walked on campus; the crisp September air of his fourth year in journalism was a welcome way to start the school year, and this was the first year it’d started with a tingle.
He whipped his head around, jostling a few nearby students who just sleepily walked around him. It wasn’t the usual tingle; it wasn’t a DANGER A BUILDING HAS BEEN THROWN AT YOU tingle. It was… something else. Something he hadn’t felt before.
But still, nothing seemed out of place. Just the usual smattering of students loitering or rushing throughout the buildings and green space, some new faces, some not. The wind blew his hair, carrying the sweet scent of fallen leaves and… something else in it, something really nice. He sniffed after it until losing it, unable to distinguish what it was. So he shrugged his leather backpack up his shoulders, adjusted the denim jacket over his forest green sweater, and continued to walk to class.
That tingle. Again. But this time while out on patrol. It’d thankfully been a quiet night; projects were already starting to be thrown at them this early in the year and Peter was confident in what he was doing now, but things still took time. But right now he was out, perched on the corner of a tall building, enjoying the warm fall night, when that tingle returned. It ran up his spine and made him catch his breath; that sweet scent was in the air too.
What’s going on…? He asked himself, right as a shadow whisked by him. His body leapt before his brain agreed to do so, spider instincts reacting and shooting a web out to follow. Alright, this is new… but interesting.
