Have an AU where Vilmos and Arin kind of swap places in the sense that Vilmos gets to retain his full memories and gets a ring to transform into his old form, while Arin gets mind-wiped and stuck in squid form.

Heres Vilmos as his human self, Haan, a Baldurian noble. Things are slightly harder for him since, being a human originally, people DO notice when he never ages (the ring only returns him to the age/state he was when the bones used to make it were harvested)
