“Spawnavor”

Spawnavor*, Speech of the spawn, or literally translated, Tongue of Spawn’ is the language spoken by those that inhabit the Spawn 's grounds. It evolved in isolation over the years, often just evolving for the sake of efficiency and/or to better comprehend the world around them. It has a fairly developed grammar and vocabulary for its origin in a small, closely knit community, and it's rarely spoken outside its origin community.

*Not to be confused with Spawnvor, a traditional prayer that literally translates to Spawn’s Voice.

Structure

Spawnavor is spoken in ‘chunks’ or clusters of information.These chunks typically compose of MANNER - ACTION - COMPOSITION - QUANTITY - CLASSIFIER - MOOD. (eg. ka spo-rawa ri-new tem pawor - lit. quickly wash-pure three-quantity times must - translated to you have to quickly purify (it) three times.) 

Sound Profile

Speech sounds very conjoined and word differentiation generally depends on tone rather than silence. Generally, it’s spoken quickly and casually, but more refined speakers lean towards a slower, hypnotizing loop of rounded vowels and circling back to /ɔ/. 

Identical sounds generally morph into each other over time. Its main vowels are /a/, /o/, /ɔ/, /e/; and its main consonants, /p/ /b/ /t/ /d/ /k/ /g/ /m/ /n/ /ŋ/ /s/ /z/ /ʃ/ /w/ /j/ /l/ /r/. 

Pronouns

Pronouns are mostly implied via sentence structure and wording, and are usually added only for emphasis. That being said, there are three sets of three pronouns each, SING, PLUR, and COLL. Singular refers to a single person, Plural, to multiple people within an established group, and collective, for all people within the group itself.

Verbs

Verbs are divided into two groups; complex and simple verbs.

Complex verbs emphasize more ‘important’ or unusual actions, and are usually longer, and originate from simple verbs. They are often reserved to religious ceremonies like sermons or rituals.

 (eg. ‘pakawor’, to bear responsibility, originating from ‘pak’ carry and ‘wor’, worth, adding ‘-a-’ as a linking vocal. [Not to be confused with ‘pakpawor’, meaning, you must carry. from pak, carry and pawor, you must.]) 

Simple verbs are usually just quick, easy or routine actions, such as wash (spo) 

For imperatives, you join the verb to -pawor. (originates from Pakawor, aka. to bear responsibility. Ex. spo (wash)+ pawor(imperative) equals spopawor, (you) must wash. If you needed to emphasize the ‘you’ in the sentence, you would say ‘spopawor ta’ (literally, ‘Wash you must.’ This would be mostly used for negating the fact that I* must wash it.)

For optative, you use the suffix -wuivor, originating from ‘wui’, want, and ‘vor’, in this context, say/express. eg. spo (wash)+wuivor (optative), ‘spowuivor’ please wash/ i wish you'd wash. It may also be interpreted as, if you wash…, depending on context.

There are 3 verb tenses used for simple verbs, and 4 for complex verbs. 

For simple verbs, there is pluperfect past, past perfect, and future perfect.

For complex, there is pluperfect pas, past perfect, past imperfect and future perfect.

There are different verb conjugations according to the ending vowel, -a endings (first conjugation), -o endings (second conjugation), -e endings (third conjugation) and -i endings (fourth conjugation). -/ɔ/ endings are considered -a endings, and use the same conjugation.

The ‘substitution’ of the ending is done from the conjugation vowel.

All conjugations for imperatives and optatives are omitted intirely.

Adverbs and Numerals

Adverbs are usually turned into affixes. Information is encouraged to be spread in chunks. ka- (means quickly) ra- (means carefully). Adverbs, if stacked, are said in order of priority. Ex.. karaspo prioritizes quickness before carefulness, while rakaspo prioritizes care.

Numerals are always structured as number-number-class, Ex. ri-new-tem literally means three-number-times, and is roughly translated to three repetitions. new-pan is used to count people (number-people, literally) new-shaw is used to count groups. This is one of the sparse uses of shaw, third person collective.
