um anyways the cult has like. a hierarchy thatbasically dictates how much info on the cult and its rituals and stuff every member has. it basically goes chosen -> elders-> envoys -> members -> non members

non members basically only see the church as a random ass village in the middle of the woods. azure used to live in a cottage nearby with his mom (which two time and them sneaked out to visit a couple times) which makes it wayyy harder for him to climb up in the hierarchy. two time was “given” to amarah by their mother and raised specifically to be loyal to amarah and amarah only. (i also hc them to have HC-DID (creds to azu-shade for the headcanon btw) but that’s a bit besides the point)

chosen are basically like the fuckin messiah for the cult. they basically are viewed as the one containing the souls of all those before them + the ORIGINAL soul of the og chosen. ofc this is not true but religious psychosis is powerful 💔. i gave the second life thing a twist and basically made it ‘yeh they’re similar so it’s all the same guy’ instead of it just being one rebirth. thats also why twotime isnt really bothered that they can respawn 10000 times in forsaken. very ‘me playing w/ my tuoys’ but idc

baiscally future chosen are ender from enders game-d to believe that everything that is happening to them is completely normal and that no one will help them if they say something about it. They are also fed nightshade poison to induce hallucinations and eventually kill them when they find another kid to fucking GROOM

now that the less culture-y stuff is out of the way, i hc that there are like. a couple things about their culture that focus around the spawn and life and death.

instead of saying things like ‘bless you’ they are more ‘let’s rot and become one with everything’ centered. it’s a bit silly but yeah

everyone is VERY judgemental on whether the chosen is doing a good job. they’re basically a mediator too and “decide” (the elders decide for them, really but the cult does think it’s the chosen) if someone is a traitor or a heretic so yk

all the chosen have the same name. i hc two time is a nickname given to them by azure which is why they like it so much lol

all the cult mostly has a thing for lunches. its basic education to always greet the chef and let them know the food was good. its said that it brings good luck

the cults village is also covered in trees and kids tend to learn how to climb. kids are usually raised by the envoys so TT and azures upbringing was a little weird in their eyes

deep romantic relationships are said to be a bit of a waste of time but they’re not really frowned upon? it’s just like yeah sure have a partner but don’t let them distract you from out lord and savior the spa-

everyone is brought up to be very polite and well kept. it attracts more people into the ‘church’

weddings aren’t really a thing? azure knows about it since he wasn’t raised in the cult but the cultists dont really get married.
