The zines of Evl Jon. Evl Jon is an artist who pushes trollies (shopping-carts) full of his modified trash around Johannesburg. He recently upgraded to a box on wheels, which he lives in wherever he can park in the city.
He draws zines on single A4 pieces of paper. The zines are printed the same on both sides, but rotated, so that the top image becomes the reverse for the bottom half. The paper is then cut in half and each half folded up to create a small, eight page zine with a 'poster' on the reverse (when unfolded). Then, unfolded so that the the zine is in 8 blocks in rows of 4, the zine is cut along the long middle fold line separating the top 4 blocks from the bottom 4 blocks, from 25% in, until 75% of the way. So, the middle 50% of the fold line is cut. This allows the pages to be turned when in A8 zine format.
The top two images share a piece of paper. The next seven images are full zines. The last image is the folder that Jon keeps the zines in. Jon hasn't had a bank account for years.
