what do you get when you cross a remote alaskan town with some missing people who have suddenly turned up out of the blue? crystal point, alaska ~ that's what you get.
the year is 1995 and mariah's playing nonstop on your portable walkman. each day in the pacific northwest seems colder than the last. your dad just bought the family household a computer for the den, your little brother has new braces, and you're starting your last year of college soon.
life. is. AMAZING!
but don't you remember that crystal point cruise tragedy from a few years back? no? of course you do… that cruise ship went missing, “the moonstone” they called it. a memorial was erected in honor of the missing passengers. over 150 souls lost to the raging sea.
the memorial, however, keeps moving. it was first put up on the beach, then it was found fully in tact in the middle of the forest. after that, in the basement of the local seafood restaurant.
and recently, some of those missing cruise passengers have returned to town… they seem okay, but there's something off about them. hair color, eye color, mannerisms - small but noticeable changes like that add up.
they meet in secret in the woods at midnight, staring at the sky. the townsfolk are wary of them, but tourists think they're incredible.
