Even a platonic version would be a hoot because you KNOW Tony would appreciate anybody with the absolute grapefruits to write that paper and cuss out some academic high muckymuck in public at a conference. That's his kind of dude.

Shut up and listen. You got jerkin' people around down to a science -- and I'm sick to death of it. I've had it with cleaning up your messes and bein' your sidekick. Get yourself a new sucker. I'm through bein' your War Machine.

Imagine the situation: you live alone in your own house. You have a couple of friends who are actually your subordinates/colleagues, who come to your house whenever they want. They have the keys to the house, to every room, and even free access to your most personal space. In general, it's a walk-through yard and no privacy for you.

You provide them with everything they want and even give them access to your money. They also steal your things without hindrance. You are totally ok with that.

Special agents and special directors just come to your house and your man cave whenever the hell they want. They touch your stuff and threaten you. And you are okay with that.

Guys you barely know drink alcohol from the bar at your house right in front of you while you are on duty. And you are okay with that.

Even though you almost died for the thing, you don't even think about keeping the powerful source of energy for yourself to use and study, and give it to the first guy who wanted to take it (Thor). And you are okay with that.

And I'm not even talking about the group of co-workers for whom your property is public property, who live in your house for free whenever they want and who command you, the owner, as they please. And you don't ask for anything in return.

FUN FACT: back in my formative years I watched the Iron Man (2008) and became obsessed with the idea of becoming an engineer.

Now, years later, you guessed it - I’m an engineer in microelectronics, writing my phd thesis.
