I spent the day yesterday without a screen and I've realized it's near impossible. Even if I didn't, the rest of my family did. So its just a million screens everywhere. No where for my eyes to rest. Is this what our world has come to? We all live in screens now? Even my grandma lives on a screen. It truly is a scary world we live in. Where human contact is reduced to a screen. And if I try to connect I cant.

We say life is important. But why do we choose ourselves over others? Why don’t we try to understand people we don’t understand? Why do we choose to look the other way when someone has wronged us? Are they not allowed forgiveness? Why do we choose to hurt people because they hurt us? Justice? Revenge? What is the difference? I don’t think it changes anything. I don’t think it’s possible not to hurt at least one person in this lifetime. So we need to learn to forgive them and not give into them. Truly a fine line. Sometimes I feel like no matter how much I reach out, I’ll never reach people. And everything I do is just wrong. God please help me to be better.

I’m realizing that sometimes the best way to love someone is to respect them because without respect, you can’t treat them right. Anything you give them is meaningless. Without respect, you can’t trust them. Your words mean nothing. Without respect, you can’t give them your undivided attention. Your time is selfish. Without respect, you will not want to do anything for them. Your acts are for your own gain. Without respect, you hurt the one you touch. Your touch is toxic. And if you can’t do any of those things then how is that love? How can you say you truly love them? Without love, you can have respect. But without respect, you cannot have love.

Loving yourself is not something you can do easily.

It’s not something I agree with.

Why love yourself? When most of the time, we’re not worth it? When we’re greedy, disgusting, hurtful beings?

Well there’s always going to be one that loves us. That will always hurt for our losses, celebrate our triumphs and love ourselves more than we could ever love ourself.

So we don’t need to love ourselves or our actions sometimes. We should feel guilt. We should feel like shit sometimes. But we need to remember that even though we are a shit show at least there is always someone we can trust and love. And there’s always someone that we can have strength from. And everything will be okay no matter who you are because the creator of the universe is by your side. God is by your side.
