Here are some recommendations on how to go about bath magic!

🌸Crystals make a great addition to bathwater, except when you forget to check if they dissolve in water first. Quartz crystals are usually fine but soft crystals and dyed crystals might have a hard time in the water. 

🌸Be careful with candles because they can quickly ignite your hair or your shower curtain! 

🌸Loose-leaf herbs are really hard to clean out of a tub. I recommend putting them in a bag and letting the water pass through the bag as it fills up the tub. Once the tub is full, let the bag float in the water. 

🌸Glitter can also be really hard to cleanout. Use glitter that’s made to go in bath bombs if you really want to use it.

🌸Sea salt is usually better to use than iodized salt.

🌸If you don’t have a bath, you can place sea salt on the floor of your shower for the same cleansing effect. 

🌸Milk and honey make great additions to bathwater.

🌸Don’t run the water too hot so you can enjoy it for as long as possible.

earlier this month it was 120 degrees in Australia , but yeah lets continue to mock those trying to save us in the 12 years we have left to slow climate change’s effects. 

What is the worst thing that could happen if we listen to scientists and change our ways, and then it turns out they were lying? 

because these dense motherfuckers couldn’t get it through their heads that an increase in the average global temperature is, has, and will lead to an increase in extreme weather events including goddamn polar vortexes.

“Fner ner ner, look at all the snow outside, what of your global warming now?? CHECK AND MATE SCIENTISTS so much for your fancy degrees and decades of research” of fucking course you’re still gonna get a winter you goddamn dingdongs! The Earth still has a fucking axial tilt – there is always going to be a portion of the year that is colder because that’s when you’re further away from the sun! 

This rise in polar temperatures is the reason the polar vortex is currently above the US and making Day After Tomorrow a reality

For those who don’t know, a polar vortex is an area of low pressure that likes to chill around the poles (both north and south but the north is more relevant here). These areas of cold, dense air are usually kept in check by jet streams: long, narrow, fast flowing air currents caused by two masses of air that are different in density/pressure/temperature etc. meeting. 

The polar jet streams in particular are caused by the meeting of cold, dense low pressure polar air and warm high pressure air from the tropics. It’s usually pretty strong, especially during winter, as the temperature gradient between the poles and the tropics is rather large. The bigger the difference, the stronger the wind, and the less likely that polar air escapes southwards.

However, due to the warming around the north pole thanks to the melting sea ice and warming oceans, this gradient is decreasing.

This results in a weaker polar jet stream, which allows the vortex to meander all over the place, such as down south into the US, bringing the cold dense air with it.

sometimes after performing a spell, you find yourself wondering, hmm, what do i do with these ingredients? the way you clean up or put away your materials can be its own step in the ritual, and affect the spell. here are some suggestions for the different ways to end rituals or properly dispose of the materials 

consider first:

📦keep it - consider if the spell seems like something you could ever possible need to reverse later. that love-attraction jar may invite people you don’t like, and need to be ended, but it’s more difficult without the original materials. keep the ingredients in a jar, box, or something, (maybe label it too) so you can easily nullify the spell if you need to.

✉wrap it up - in a jar or a pouch, if it is a spell you want to last a long time, gather the ingredients you won’t be reusing and keep them in a place you

🏺jar spells - just keep the materials in the sealed jar. this is the sort of spell that can be reused simply by shaking the jar, lighting a new candle for it or recharging its energy. 

🔔cleanse and reuse - obviously you don’t want to throw your crystals or jars out after a single spell. separate the materials used and cleanse them individually, cutting the ties to the spell. 

now what do i do with it?

🔥it’s been burned to ash - for banishing place it on the back doorstep and sweep it out into the wind. for releasing its energies and inviting influence, release the ashes into running water, given it is safe to return to nature (non glass, nonplastic nontoxic, biodegradable etc)

🕸bound objects - bury or keep in a box somewhere, burial for spells you will never remove, hiding for things you may undo one day. 

🛡protective spells - best hung up or hidden in a corner of the house, or place over the front door of the residence.

I created this spell with the intention of having an on-the-go glamour of sorts.  Something I’d be able to use when feeling less confident, or needed a boost.  It only felt right to share it with all of you <3

Ingredients:

Full moon water

3 rose petals

1 rose quartz crystal

1 clear quartz crystal

1 spray bottle)

Directions:

Swirl your moon water clockwise in a small bowl, and add each rose petal one by one. 

For the first petal, stir and say 

“With this petal I welcome in positivity and confidence”

For the second petal, stir and say

“With this petal I understand my own beauty”

For the third petal, stir and say

“With this petal, I remind myself that I am deserving of self-love”

Carefully pour this into your spray bottle once the water is still, and add your two crystals.  Spritz on yourself when in need of a boost of self-confidence or beauty,
