she's a specialized servant, they didn't just take her because they need someone to dust furniture or serve tea but because she's a valuable asset it's less of "we need a maid" and more of "we need THAT nurse"
for her first time at the hotel she helped injured guests, recovering addicts, drunk/hungover patrons, and newly arrived sinners, the von eldritch notice her (how they were at the hotel I still havent worked out or decided, maybe Frederick was visiting Lucifer since they're canon friends) but she gets noticed. not because she's powerful or famous but because she's good at what she does
and now she can tend to and heal other servants when the Von Eldritch family gets a bit too cruel and sadistic, while also serving the family, a luxury item, and becomes well liked among the other servants who actively seek her out when they're hurt, overwhelmed, or homesick. effectively making her a servant, nurse, medic and emotional support all at once.
now moving onto her relationship with them she is absolutely ENAMORED with the family, treating them like gods and worshiping them with reverence but not in a naive "they can do no wrong" way but in a "they're so terrifying, isn't it magnificent?" way, they can attempt to intimidate her with the usual "do you understand what I can do to you" kind of way and she nods with sparkling eyes and a "yes, its one of my favorite things about it"
adding more onto her powers and stuff I want to make it more obvious she practices witchcraft, an occult scholar and a healer, with herbs hanging from the ceiling in her room, bottles of strange tinctures, preserved bones, runes carved into doorframes, tea blends for sleep, healing, etc
sloppy handwritten grimoires filled with recipes, rituals, observations, sticky notes, pressed flowers, scribbled out words with corrections, "dont do this during a full moon", "Lady Von Eldritch suggested adding mugwort here, works much better", etc. she can create protective wards around patients, safe rooms, but she's never the strongest fighter.
her other abilities can be pain manipulation, and nightmare manifestation (transferring emotions, forcing someone to experience another suffering, along with visual and auditory illusions/hallucinations) she is not the most powerful but is one of the most well-read and the Von Eldritch can be slightly possessive towards her, why would she leave? she has her own room, they take care of her but its not a gilded cage, she is obsessed with them and has no intentions of ever leaving, her devotion isn't based on fear or money or manipulation it's based on fascination, they represent everything she loves: the supernatural, the unknown, the unsettling
