2) It actually allowed Wufei to age rather than subject him to the cynical ‘reboot’ that plagued the other Gundam pilots. Maybe it was just because Wufei was unpopular and noone wanted to see a young version of him, but artistically and philosophically, I prefer this outcome.  Although this dj does finally veer back into comedy, it gave me a chance to explore Wufei’s idea of what it is to be a parent (biological or otherwise) and a man. It’s something that I’m getting to grips with myself, so pardon the sentimentality.
