this is how HM/TMs work in pokemon games

My coworker's kid has a hitmontop (freshly evolved) and the two of them were eating right out of the bag of shredded cheese. The kid said "Wait, when does this expire?" The hitmontop, clearly trying to help, points to the date on the bottom of the bag. Kid flips the bag over, sending cheese absolutely everywhere. They both made the same distress sound at the same time.

I am genuinely surprised. He is better at it than most humans I have seen.

I was always so jealous of those kids. They were always the ones with good families and money in savings. I didn't even necessarily want to compete, but I was so angry that I didn't even have the opportunity for it. I still feel a disconnect between me and people who grew up this way, even if we're in relatively similar positions now.

I distinctly remember having to explain to a trainer in that program that they needed to train their pokemon to do basic tasks like sit and stay to not worry that..... hm, i dont know, that their houndour won't spit up fire when they get so excited that they set a janitor on fire at a pokecenter.

i think only magikarp should be allowed to vote. i wanna see what the fish decide is best for the world and the fish alone.
