the tower scene in TVL is so funny because you have Armand spilling his entire tragic backstory to Lestat and like very carefully framing it so that Marius looks like an absolute saint, & Lestat (standing Right Next to his mother-turned-fledgling whom he kisses on the mouth) is just nodding & going "what a great guy. it's normal for parents to do these things." like. everyone in this room is really well adjusted. great work guys.
