It’s My Life (Trumpet Solo)
Back in May I had a dream that I completely botched a trumpet solo of "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi in some high school cafeteria. The worst part is, I was so cocky going into it. I looked at this poor kid who was supposed to be a part of my "band" and mid performance said, "You have literally NOTHING to contribute??" What a dick! (me) Then he started crying and some random woman came up to me and said, "That was terrible, but you're all winners tonight!" FYI, I don't play the trumpet.
Ghost (alt. version)
I woke up this morning dealing with the emotional aftermath of a truly f'd up dream. In the dream, I was I guess privy to the director's cut of the movie, "Ghost." You know, the one with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze - THAT ONE. Anyway, I was watching the scene where "Sam" and "Molly" are trying to make a vase of some kind. In this version, (the extended version), Sam tells Molly that he wants to "talk." She ends up rolling her eyes, agreeing and puts in ear plugs. So already, this is off to a bad start. Then Sam lays on the floor and basically goes on and on about their relationship. It ends with him saying, "I love you" repeatedly but with a real emphasis on the "love." So like, "I LUUUUUUVVVVVVVVV you." F'in weird and super lame (ditto). Suddenly, when they start getting all frisky with the clay, it cuts to some crappy animation that insinuates Molly is now pregnant. So in my dream, I took off my headphones (because that makes sense) and basically angrily shouted at the director/filmmakers that that was a horrible decision and the producers were correct with the final edit. I guess the lesson here is to always listen to your producer?
