Trump is a destructive, narcissistic man-child dragging the Republicans down into a hell of race-baiting, war crimes & pixie-dust economics.

Perhaps the only thing that could stop Trump from winning the nomination is some unforeseeable campaign scandal. A personal scandal wouldn't cut it. His supporters have ignored — even embraced — his record as a bully, a bigot, a public despoiler of traditional family values, and an administrative bungler who couldn’t even run a casino without going bankrupt. 

One thing is for certain: The Republicans will lose the election, with or without Trump. The only thing that Republican leadership needs to be concerned with at this point is thinking of ways to prevent the schism of their party.

Canadians who think the sickness afflicting the Republicans is peculiar to American politics obviously weren't paying attention to the weekend Manning Conference.

Granted, O'Leary could never be as repulsive as Trump. But he is someone whose only real qualification for office is being known.

Buckle up, Canada - it’s going to be an interesting ride from now until 2019....
