not really, or at least not in the way people expect him to.

I imagine that he doesn’t end up in some towering city full of noise and strangers and streets that never seem to sleep. he doesn’t become someone people point at and say, "Hey, that's P.M.C!"

instead, he stays just outside tulsa, where the land opens up and the sky feels endless.

i picture him in a little farmhouse with creaking floors and warm light in through the windows. a garden out back, rows of tomatoes and strawberries and wildflowers bending gently in the wind. Maybe even a few animals to care for. dirt on his hands. A purpose that won't drain him.

a quiet life.

no yelling through thin walls.

no sirens.

no fists.

no boys divided into names and sides and lines drawn in blood.

no greasers. no socs.

just people.

just the sound of the evening settling over the fields, the soft rustle of leaves, the distant call of birds heading back to their nests.

and every night, the sunset, a reminder of who he is and what his life has become.

the same gold sky stretched wide above him, untouched by everything that once tried to take his peace away.
