(Academics being the only area of Time Lord society the Maverick did better in than the Healer. Unlike the Doctor the Healer fit in quite well until the incident, meanwhile the Maverick was looked down on since being deemed insane at age eight.)

It’s routine for the Maverick to stop there once and a while, to the point that by the time he realizes there’s no reason for him to worry about what the Healer might try when all the other Time Lords are dead, he’s already wandering the London streets.
