Holland March is a rookie cop fiending for a chance to prove himself on his own merit; Emily Murphy is a burgeoning young actress enchanted by the Hollywood glamor. When he pulls her over one fateful night for speeding down Hollywood Boulevard, the two of them scramble for a way to keep this chance meeting going, and they find one: Emily is going to shadow Holland to learn about detective work for an upcoming film. Holland is by no means a detective, but he's willing to engage in this fiction if it means spending more time with this charming, effusive actress.
A love story is a mythical thing. Emily's Los Angeles is made for it; Holland's is far too jaded. But as the two circle each other and begin to combine their worlds, the mythological might just become possible.
welcome to the first installment in becca (@side-character-syndrome) and my pre-canon exploration of what the missing March might have been like! we have embraced most of what little canon there is (and blatantly ignored some of it), and we're both super psyched about the story we've created so far and what is yet to come (we have a full series planned). all Holland POV sections are by becca and all Emily POV sections are by me! we hope you enjoy them as much as we do :)
