It was a whirlwind romance. And we fell hard. You told me you all you wanted was for me to fall in love with you, whole-heartedly. And there we were.Together.Not two separate entities, but instead one whole.Us. I bared my soul to you. My insecurities, my flaws and my faults. You said you loved me nonetheless. That I was worth it, worth your time and effort. The chemistry was intense. Your warm eyes made me feel like I was on fire every single time I find you staring at me. " You're beautiful " is what you kept on saying to me. I didn't know what that meant at first. I didn't think I was. But you repeating it to me made me feel perhaps, just a little, maybe I could actually be pretty in someone else's eyes for once? And as long as you felt that way, maybe I can recover from my previous heartbreak. Maybe you were the one who will put my broken pieces together. The way you looked at me and told me how you felt. I thought this was real. I held you, close, telling you not to be a douche. Not to hurt me. Not to let go. What happened? Empty words and promises. My heart is numb. I don't think I can carry on. Every breath feels like I'm drowning and every time I breathe , it's as though it was my last. You've hurt me. Good for you.
