Buster Keaton's first feature film for 1924 was "Sherlock Jr". This film was a return to Buster's style of slapstick and gags. The main reason for making the film was to provide him with the opportunity to stage some of his most outlandish, seemingly impossible gags, the only way he felt he could get away with these stunts was to set the action in a dream sequence. However, here for the first time, he lets the audience in on the fact that they are watching a dream by using his old friend, the double exposure to show it. This is a fan favourite film for a reason. Buster has been so creative with his stunts and gags that it's a pleasure to watch over and over again.
