P.S. god forbid people want to analyze contemporary literature instead of works that have been analyzed by others for hundreds of years already! And I say this as a lover of Medieval and Early Modern English lit. I wrote my undergrad thesis on works by Shakespeare and Edmund Spenser and some anonymous medieval writers, but the most important class I took in college was on Toni Morrison.

Granted I think she's also wildly overestimating how many of them can actually analyse Atwood either, but you know. Whatever.
