I get being thorough and not accepting anything at face value. But it doesn't escape me that excusing and rationalizing racism is the default response. If we're doing that every time someone approaches us... You may wonder why y'all don't get approached with said problems.

THIS PART. The person I dealt with yesterday may have been an outlier as a response, but the rationalization is so common. It is astounding how many people easily slide into being Racism's Defense Attorney like... WHY? Do you recognize where that puts you if you are proven in the wrong? Why does racism need a lawyer? It's like saying Jeff Bezos needs a welfare paycheck.
