my notifications are once again devolving into a spirited debate about the ethics of actions that could potentially make someone uncomfortable, and at risk of sounding like someone about to get a lot of irate anons I think we're frankly giving way too to much moral weight to hypothetical discomfort
the thing about discomfort is that it's an extremely nebulous category that can be triggered by virtually anything and that's far too broad a category to have any inherent moral quality to it. like. my mom was mad uncomfortable when I stopped shaving. that didn't mean I was doing violence against my mom it just meant she needed to get over herself. many such cases it must be said.
there's not a single example I could give that's better than this
OP: The carp leaping over the dragon gate 鲤鹟čˇéžé¨ is a classic Chinese folk symbol. It stands for people overcoming hardships to achieve success. We often use it to wish others a bright future and smooth progress. If you spot a carp leaping over the Dragon Gate, good luck will come your way.
Two-sided Hekate devotional talisman featuring an image of Hekate carrying two torches on the front and a Tudor rose on the back. This image represents Hekate as a Gnostic hyper-cosmic goddess, a salvific force both personal and universal.

Originally commissioned by Chirotus Infinitum, the Sorcerer Poet, as a part of his personal syncretic work and made available to all through his generosity.
* Made of solid .925 sterling silver or shibuichi (an art metal alloy made of 3:1 copper:silver), yellow brass, or bronze.
* Available as a coin, with an upeye for use as a pendant, or with three jump rings for use in a rosary-style necklace.
Each piece is hand-made to order in my home studio, with unique variations and defects as a result of the fabrication and casting process.

huh. i am both wound and blade. neat.
Yes the Gods are loving, but they are also mighty. They are flawed, but theyâre also giving and kind. They donât need to be one or the other. All of their countless opposing facets can coexist at once.
Freyja /Hel altar thatâs still in the works, started in the last year or so. If you couldnât tell, Iâve been on Estrogen for a long time now đ
I love you psychotic pagans
⢠Pagans that get delusions that interfere with worship!
⢠Pagans that get religious delusions! Delusions of grandeur! Delusions of control!
⢠Pagans who canât discern between hallucinations, delusions, and the Gods!
⢠Pagans who get hallucinations of the Gods!
⢠Pagans that get auditory hallucinations! Tactile hallucinations! Visual hallucinations! Olfactory hallucinations! Internal hallucinations!
⢠Pagans who get intrusive thoughts!
⢠Pagans who experience negative symptoms that make it hard to worship!
⢠Pagans whose psychosis makes it hard to worship in general!
⢠Pagans who think their psychosis brings them closer to the Gods!
⢠Pagans who get disorganized thoughts. Who canât pray because of them!
⢠Pagans on medication! Pagans who canât be medicated, who donât want to be medicated, who arenât medicated!
Youâre all seen. Youâre all loved. The Gods understand when things get tough.

Ok it's more nuanced in that it seems to be a story illustrating how the need to perform hypermasculinity can make a society devolve into nothing but reactive blood-feuds...but man.
Something something. Just a reminder that you can say no to deities. Your boundaries absolutely matter.
A reminder!

I just think that having altars to the gods in our homes is so beautiful. Itâs a practise thatâs been carried down for thousands of years no matter how hard people have tried to wipe it out.
