"Yeah I know. We have this calendar we keep in the kitchen that has all our schedules on it so we can keep each other accountable." he paused. "And by that I mean someone can hold me accountable. And I had some free time during lunch hours today so I thought I'd come by. When I text her to see where she was at today to come find her she said she didn't work today." he exhaled. "So, if you want this it's yours." he reiterated, realizing he hadn't needed to explain all of that. As the other admitted he'd take the food Micah smiled, nodding. "If you decide you don't want it, give it to a coworker or something. It's just a turkey wrap with a lot of condiments and toppings and a large extra salty french fry. @tylerxday

Micah nodded as she stated that she would check, though he wasn't sure anyone in this town was as prepared as his mom had been growing up. Yet, as the other opened her bag, materials of all sorts being removed in search of whatever it was she were looking for, he'd clearly been mistaken. "Reminds me of how my mom's bag used to be." he laughed. "We needed it, she probably had it." he admitted, looking back over at her as she extended her arm, sewing kit and a shawl in hand. "Uh-" he paused, taking a look down at his pants before shaking his head. "I think the shawl will have to do to at least get me to my car and home." he stated. "These pants are pretty trashed. I've had them for awhile." he admitted; truthfully he should've thrown them away awhile ago. "If I could borrow that to go to my car I may have some other pants, if not I can get your number or something to get this back to you." @lailaxmir

"A date. Perfect." Frankie found herself saying without a beat. There was something about Micah that kept drawing her in and so easily. She hadn't expected to be falling for someone in Kismet just a few short months after moving there and then along came Micah. He caught her by surprise. At his question, she felt her lips thinning with a purposeful thought. "My favorite memory," she said after a momentary pause. "Honestly, has to be this one time I picked my sister up from school. We were young, younger than we should have been to be out on our own. But I had scrounged up enough cash from the apartment that my mom had left laying around and we went to get ice cream. There was just something about her smile that day. It was pure, innocent and like it was the best day of her life right then, right there." Frankie slowly shook her head with the memory, "It wasn't a moment either of us got to experience often so I carry it close to my heart." @micaheverhart

When she agreed to go out even after hearing he was considering it a date, Micah felt himself relax. Arms extended behind him, hands palms down in the grass as he let himself gaze out into field of flowers, getting lost in thought. He'd enjoyed getting to know Frankie. It was unexpected, but there was something about her he couldn't get enough of. He asked what her favorite memory was and without a beat the smile on her face grew, her skin a little more glowy as she spoke and he let his gaze remain fixated on her, his own smile growing as he listened. "I can imagine that was a pivitol moment for both of you." he stated. "I don't like to assume, so I won't, but, I get the impression that you two are close?" Silly to ask he knew, but it was obvious if they weren't now they had been. "This is the sister in your band, right?" another pause as he thought of what he wanted to say next. "I think you two have something really special. Or did if you guys are suddenly not close anymore. Did you two do everything together before?" @frankiexcalloway

"Of course." Micah nodded. "I'd never let you walk back without at least offering but of course you're always welcome to say no." he shrugged. Micah would do anything for any of his friends, however, he'd never force them to accept anything. "Exactly my thoughts." Micah stated, eyes focusing on the other. Micah was known to have a larger appetite so cleaning his plate wasn't out of the question. But he didn't want to do anything to jeopardize being able to enjoy it regardless. "Why is it our parents encourage us to grow and learn just to go to work?" he questioned. "Don't get me wrong. I'm not one that necessarily minds working, I do love my job at the high school but I feel like since I've graduated college all I do is work." he sighed. Truthfully that's all he'd felt like he'd done since he'd been eighteen and started at the arcade. "It's starting to get old. I already want to retire on a beach somewhere." he exhaled. Though as the other asked about a girlfriend Micah shook his head. "Not yet but soon I hope." he smiled, eyes shifting to look at the other. "She's kind of the best, keeps me on my toes in the best way." he paused. "It kind of hit me out of no where and there are days I think about it too hard and it makes my head spin." he sighed. "She's incredible though." He added, realizing that he hadn't yet say her name. @devonxgoodwin

"You're lucky I made it before you started to be annoying." She said, dropping onto the other side of the couch. The exchange between them was familiar and automatic. One that only could stem from years of friendship and shared space. But the second he mentioned Frankie, something in her chest tightened before she could stop it. Keeping her expression neutral the best she could, she reached for a slice of pizza. "Oh." The word came lighter than she felt. She hated how the jealousy flared up as he casually slotted someone else into plans that used to automatically include her. "Yeah, no, I know." She said quickly, letting a force laugh pass over her lips as he reminded her that they lived together. "Movie night is fine with me, don't worry about it." @micaheverhart

"Yeah, yeah." he stated, playfully rolling his eyes. "You say that like I don't know how to use the oven myself." he stated. Though, it would almost be likely that were the case. Micah wasn't someone that cooked a lot; and the rare occasion he did it was almost always inedible due to him nearly burning it. Maybe he'd learn one day. He hadn't been looking at her, which in return was probably a good thing. He was sure he'd have picked up on the way she was feeling on expression alone; not because she wouldn't have tried to hide it but because after being friends with her majority of his life he'd found himself able to read her like a book. Yet, as she reached for the slice of pizza, he followed suit, taking one for himself and looking over at her only once she said the movie night was fine. "Are you sure?" he questioned, taking a bite of the pizza before he looked back over at her. "I promise we can go the next time they're here. Or hell, remind me and I'll get you a day pass for the arcade to make up for it." @felicityxcowan

Micah had taken her by surprise, filling her with a type of warmth she never thought she were capable of feeling. "Yeah, honestly. If I blink, everything could be missed in that split second." She listened to him, gaze focusing on him as he spoke about the place when she asked. The more he spoke, the more she found herself just utterly captivated with him. "Yeah, that sounds great. I would love to go." She told him with a nod of his head. Her heart ached at the thought of him being a cancer kid, but it was clear that pity was not something that he wanted so she never gave it. She nodded along to his words. "Honestly, it's the perfect spot so I'm a little selfish in being glad that you were the one that found and introduced it to me." Frankie added with flushed cheeks. "I'm happy that you have shared it with me, honestly. It's such a special place." @micaheverhart

"Blink too many times and it just might." he admitted, offering her a smile. He certainly felt like that. He'd blinked a few times and felt like he'd grown into a full fledged adult one he still didn't know how he'd gotten here some days. When she agreed to go with him, however, Micah felt his smile widen. "And I'd love to take you; it's a date." he nodded, turning his attention back to the view in front of them. He could sit here in this place for hours, alone or with someone, but, he had to admit that this would be one of the best memories when it came to this place. "I'm just happy I get to share it with someone." he admitted, eyes shifting from the view to Frankie. "What's your favorite memory? It can be about a place like this one, or just a general memory, I'm not picky. I just want to learn more about you." @frankiexcalloway

"Oh." Micah nodded, eyes settling into his seat as the hug was released. "I guess that's a reason not to know how the traffic is out there." he stated. "Remind me to give you a ride back to your car whenever we're done. Unless you want to walk in which case go for it." he stated, taking a sip of the water glass in front of him. "I wouldn't have cared, but I know when I run like that I can't eat for a bit so walking was best." he nodded. "I'm just glad we could finally meet up." he nodded. "How have you been?" @devonxgoodwin

Nearly as incredible as you are. The words released a fit of butterflies into the pit of her stomach. It was not something she was used to, not in the slightest. His lips were warm against her cheek and she beamed at him. "I can definitely see why." Honestly, it was inspiring her to get with Gia and write a song about the spot. She knew that it would be special and in part, that was because of Micah. Someone that had taken her by surprise in the few weeks that they had known one another. "How'd you even come across a spot like this? That just the perk of living in Kismet for your whole life?" @micaheverhart

As he let her stare in the beauty of the area they were in, Micah made himself comfortable next to her, letting his eyes focus on the beauty as well. "It kind of just makes you want to sit in silence and stare right? Afraid you'll miss something if you don't." he paused, realizing he was rambling, something he was really good at. He only spoke again when she asked about the place. "It is a perk of being in Kismet my entire life." he nodded. "There are a lot of things that are well known to the locals and a hit with the newcomers; like there are these art vendor and food trucks that are a big hit most weekends in the spring and summer time, if you're interested we should go." he shrugged, letting his gaze shift from their view to her, smile widening. "As for this place, though, it was one of my favorite spots when I was in treatment." He hated bringing up being a cancer kid in nearly every conversation, but he couldn't help it that some of his biggest stories and best memories stemmed from that part of his life. "I got tired of being cooped up so when I felt good enough to be outside I would want some fresh air." he stated. "I discovered this place on a hike with my family and never stopped thinking about it, so, it quickly became my place; the one I'd come to whenever I just needed to get away." he paused, exhaling as he closed his eyes. Felicity was finishing up making something to eat for her and Micah, something easy. It didn't require much more than a pre-heated oven and placing the pizza in there for about twenty minutes. She had just cut through the pizza with the rolling pizza cutter when she peaked into the living room. "Hey, I was thinking," she called out as she began to plate their food for them, "that we could go down to the park next weekend. There's all the arts and craft vendors, food trucks, you know the usual." She carried two plates into the living room. "I have the day off from the aquarium and I feel like we haven't seen much of each other."

"I love it when you use your brain." Micah laughed, clearly picking on his best friend as he looked up from his spot on the couch as she entered the living room with a plate of pizza for the both of them. "This smells incredible, thanks Cici." he greeted, warm smile plastered against his lips. Though, he realized that in his continuation to pick at her he hadn't taken the time to let her say what she was thinking about, so he remained quiet for a minute, listening. "Next weekend?" he paused, taking a bite of pizza as if to prolong the answer to her question. "I actually already have plans. I was planning to take Frankie down there, to the food trucks and such and just spend the day exploring the town. She's still learning all the secret places we locals have been discovering for years and I asked her to hang out with me." he turned to look at Felicity, smile falling. "We live in the same house, C." he spoke, shortened nickname only came out when he was trying to be serious, especially because he rarely used her actual name unless he was talking about her. "I see you all the time; but we can plan a movie night or something for that evening?" he questioned. "I'll bring home take out." @felicityxcowan

Frankie heard Micah's instructions and veered off to the right when it came up. Her legs burned from pedaling, but feeling the wind in her air, the ocean breeze filling her lungs, she couldn't think of a better way to spend the day. Continuing down the path, she found herself at a clearing. No one else was there and it was a field full of flowers of what looked like a hundred different colors (though realistically she knew it wasn't). She came to a stop, out of the way of the path and nearly leapt off her bike. "Oh my God, Micah this view is incredible." @micaheverhart

Micah watched as she followed his instructions effortlessly, taking the turn into the clearing he knew was ahead. It was one of his favorite places to come whenever he wanted to be alone, and to share it with someone he'd grown quite smitten with in the last few weeks made it even more special. "It's amazing, right?" he asked, smiling as he parked his bike, taking it all in. "Nearly as incredible as you are." he smirked, leaning forward to kiss her cheek. Likely a bold move yet as he pulled away he didn't regret it. "There's a reason this is one of my favorite places to hang out." @frankiexcalloway

"Counseling does seem to suit you," Yasmin added, a small nod following her words. "I think a lot of people think that this is something that they can do but not a lot of people care about doing it and you're the latter." Yasmin had been able to note that about Micah from the get go. "Schools always need people that will invest in them," she smiled at him, "and it sounds like you've got a pretty good idea of where you're supposed to be." The brunette assurance, "I think that's better than most." @micaheverhart

"It's kind of the only thing I've ever been comfortable with the thought of doing." Micah shrugged. And while he was sure that sounded silly considering he was still a baby and fresh out of college in most people's eyes, Micah prided himself in being mentally more mature than a lot of people his age. Whether it was his connection with sickness growing up or just his personality he'd never be sure; he unfortunately had too harsh of an upbringing to guess. "I agree." he nodded. "And while I may not be comfortable enough to teach them, I think investing in their mental health and well being is just as good, if not more important. I sometimes wish that people would've done that for me through the years instead of only associating my declining mental health with my illness." a pause. "Sure they were connected, but, you know, not the point." @yasminxmoreno

"That's so exciting, man, congratulations." Micah smiled, making himself a mental note to send the Elliots a gift of some sort. Maybe he could talk to Felicity about what babies liked and needed; Micah certainly didn't have a clue. "I think it's amazing that you'll also have the summer off." Micah nodded. "I hope that your wife gets enough time off; as much as she wants that is." he added. "I don't know how you're keeping it a surprise. I feel like I'd be the dad that wanted to know immediately." Micah nodded. "What does your gut say? Boy or girl? Or is your gut just hoping for healthy?" @hudsonxelliot

"Yeah, she should get a decent amount of time off." Fortunately for both of them, if she needed to take more time off that was unpaid, they'd make it work. When it came to Lexi, he would do anything for her and for their upcoming baby. "It's hard not to know," he admitted with a laugh, "but in the way that you are excited about the surprise. I know it's not everyone's thing and I might only survive this with baby one." He joked with Micah. "My gut says girl, but that's probably because I've always imagined being a girl dad." Hudson admitted with a warm smile. "But of course, healthy is always the top priority. The baby will be loved no matter what." @micaheverhart

"Don't people ask questions to get answers?" Micah questioned, a raise of his eyebrow. "Of course I want you to answer it." he laughed. "But I appreciate that under all that chaos going on in your brain all the time that you're still you even with a fresh look of the town after all that traveling you did." he admitted, sitting up a little straighter so that the pressure from the wall wasn't primarily on his neck but on his back as well. "I'm older than you, dim whit." Micah joked, tossing a pillow in the other's direction. "Sure you're more well seasoned than I am, I'll give you that but I can't go backwards in age." he shook his head. "I think you forget that you're younger than me." There were times that Micah forgot that the Cowan siblings were younger than him. Not by a ton - not that ages mattered - but there were times he had to remind himself that he was older, even if mentally he didn't feel like he was. "I didn't really." he shook his head. "Work, spending time here." he paused. "Oh I did meet this blonde at Wingman's a few weeks ago." he stated, smiled widening. "She's in a band. I don't know much yet but I have a feeling she's about to change my entire life's perspective." Sure, it was a bit of a bold accusation, but, Micah couldn't help that was how he felt. @percipal
