A big issue with online queer discourse is you never know what queer level your opponent is. You could be arguing about he/him lesbians with someone who thinks men can’t be bisexual
Okay but sometimes this is what happens when I socialize with established friends.
I think we all enjoy throwing tomatoes at me. Proverbial tomatoes
TIL show dogs have horse names
Okay but these flags are gorgeous

mutuals, you can pick me up to put me in your inventory
So! This is a perfect case study in situations where you should be wary of misinformation.
Take a moment and ask yourself, a project like this requires a lot of time, money and dedication of resources, why would scientists dedicate that time to something that could just be done by a tree?
The answer is they wouldn't. So that means this claim requires further investigation!
This project is called LIQUID 3, and it's not meant for cities with wide open spaces, it's meant for cities like Belgrade in Serbia. These cities are densely populated and heavily polluted, to the point where pollution actually chokes out current trees and makes creating green spaces difficult.
Liquid 3 was a PhD scientists answer to these problems. The microalgae tank is intended for spaces where you either:
Don't have enough space to plant full trees, or
Don't have enough time to plant trees and wait for them to grow up.
The tank is extremely efficient when you consider the amount of space needed compared to the amount of CO2 turned into oxygen. The tank can operate throughout the winter. And most importantly, it can be quickly set up in areas that desperately need relief from air pollution NOW not in 10 years when trees are done growing. Children currently suffocating on polluted air can't wait for trees to grow, they need to be taken care of now, and Liquid 3 is one of the ways to take care of them. Depending on the species of microalgea used, a number have shown a pretty amazing capacity to pull heavy metals out of the air which is something trees can get choked up by.
The tanks aren't just tanks either! Liquid 3 have solar panels placed on top, they have lighting and mobile phone charging, and they work as public benches. The designers of it want to encourage green spaces where there's room, but where there isn't room or time, Liquid 3 can step in. Realistically, this isn't a replacement for trees. It's replacing boring metal city benches with new, cooler benches that also clean the air (and have at least some heating during the winter).
Not only that, but the microalgea that grows is native to Serbia and all that microalgea has a ton of great uses! It makes for great fertilizer, compost, wastewater treatment, cleaner biofuels and even for helping create new tanks for further air purification. They only require a quick algae divide once a month, and the produced algae can be carted off to where ever it's needed. This makes them effective solutions for areas that can't sustain complex installations.
So yeah, there's actually quite a lot of places that would like these. Lots of people currently breathing in terrible quality air would much rather have their boring city benches replaced with really fucking cool algae tanks that clean the air and can be used to help create + sustain future green spaces in cities. I dunno about you, but I'd take that over a dumb metal bench any day. Put these at every bus stop and I'd be delighted.
can ppl pls reblog this version
Well damn. I was also like wtf is this stupid slime tank and then I read the rest and my mind got blown
Totally normal comments on a reddit post about a comic about trans women being excluded from women’s shelters and “afab only” housing and how people will then hyperfixate on the trans woman potentially saying a mean word to the people excluding her rather than the mass exclusion that trans women face. Literally every single one of these comments are pearl clutching over the fact that the trans woman in the comic said a mean word to the precious “afab” (just ignore the wildly transmisogynistic things that were hurled at the trans woman just moments before)
This is the comic for context
Hmmmmmmmmmm if we take "theyfab is a slur" at its face... hmmm what part of that makes it offensive? Could it be the part that ignores a person's chosen identity in favor of their birth sex?
I’m sorry I support all jokes but cave johnson would not be supportive of trans women
Due to a recent accident in the labs, the boys downstairs have found a way to turn men into women. Amazing breakthrough, and we wish you all luck on your transition. And your job hunt. You’re all fired. Sorry boys, nothing against you. We just don’t need women around here trying to clean up the lab while the men are trying to do real work. Cave out.
Would he be supportive of trans men, though?
at the gym telling everyone the weights would be easier to lift if we all work together
the more people you have lifting an object the less amount of force each individual person will need to apply to it to lift it

identifying a maladaptive coping mechanism is so bitter sweet like that’s great now i know what i need to stop doing. but that’s literally my something
yesterday I had the thought "visual novel for normal people" (?) and halfway through making this image (which I thought would be really funny) I realized it was completely meaningless
Kill or be killed, Currant. Formidable Oak taught me that.
Yes, you weren’t the only one to grow up in the Forest of Hope. War is a cruel parent, but an effective teacher. Its last lesson is carved deep into my psyche:
That this world and all its bugs are diseased. Free will is a myth. Whistles are a joke. We are all pawns, controlled by something deeper:
Memes. The DNA of the soul.
They shape our will. They are the culture -- they are everything we pass on.
Expose someone to Nectar long enough, they will learn to Awawa. They become a carrier.
Sweet, Spicy, Bitter...All Nectar. All passed along.
You can't fight nature, Currant. Wind blows, rain falls, and the strong prey upon the weak.
awawa....
so called "free thinkers" watching a game of tennis
FUCK. honestly just FUCK. We missed a very important day yesterday.
what was yesterday, cat?
I’m not missing it this year.

Hidden away in the endless depths of my main blog's drafts was this gem I intended to share after I would post "Lose Yourself" which appeared on poll #765 but by then I had forgotten about it 🙈 Shame, because it fitted so well with the movie theme of that batch of songs. But anyway, enjoy it now if you haven't had the luck to come across it yet 😅 seems the creator Really Likes this song. 😂 (Actual polls are coming soon)
