Astonishing: which is Sami and which is Hmong?

I was looking at some photographs of Sami (reindeer) people and noticed that some groups had their traditional costume very similar to that of Hmong people of Asia. I need to dig a bit deeper but I find it exciting!

The Sami people (also Sámi, Saami) are an indigenous people of northern Europe inhabiting Sápmi, which today encompasses parts of northern Sweden, Norway, Finland and the Kola Peninsula of Russia. 

The Hmong/Mong is an ethnic group from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. The Hmong are also one of the sub-groups of the Miao ethnicity in China.
