So about Runaan and Tinker...
Obviously Tinker, the mysterious elf in the end credits, is connected to Runaan in some way. Most likely wither being his boyfriend and or husband, I was looking back at the end credit where he was crying in front of two flowers in a small thing of water and one was sinking.Β
Most likely this is Tinker knowing that something happened to Runaan as the one sinking probably represents him while the one still floating represents Tinker. However just how are they connected to the flowers? How is Tinker able to know something happened to Runaan based on whether or not the flower is sinking or floating?
Elves are usually depicted as having different courting and marriage ceremonies and I think this might be theirs in TDP. Those flowers Tinker is looking at might be magical flowers elves use when they get married, Two flowers, one representing the other person. Theyβre probably a type of plant like a lily-pad so thatβs why they are in a thing of water and theyβre probably able to connect with the person theyβre supposed to represent.Β
Almost kind of like a way to know how the other is. Note the fact that the flower Tinker is reaching out for isnβt withered or dead, itβs just sinking. Kind of like how Runaanβs not dead but his soulβs trapped in a coin now while the other flower (Tinker) is perfectly fine. Still floating as nothingβs happened to him. Because of that I assume that if a partner does die then the flower that represents them will then wither and wilt along with that person.Β
Iβm bad at explaining things but I hope this makes sense to someone haha, iβm still trying to figureout whatβs up with Tinkerβs horn gems though since it is interesting that the missing Gem is on the same horn that Runaan lost.Β
