Why would I not be surprised if Steve fucked Darren's sister & his son Darius was really Darren's nephew? If this is the case, then Steve's obsession is so extreme that it reminds me of dark romances where a character hooks up with someone connected to the person they're obsessed with (in this case, Darren's sister). They're not really after that person. They're chasing the feeling of being closer to the one they actually want, using the other person as a stand-in.
