fuck welfarism. am i really supposed to believe that the same motherfuckers who keep their dogs locked up in cages all day, put fish in literal bowls, and imprison hamsters in shitty plastic hellscapes would care about “livestock”?

I find it quite amusing, this idea that veganism is a bourgeois thing. Over the past nine years, I've been subjected to countless moral lectures from Western white people about how classist it is to say it's easy for the vast majority of people and that they're just hiding behind excuses to avoid admitting they don't give a damn. Every time I say I'm North African and live in the Maghreb, where plant-based alternatives (vegan steaks, ice cream, vegan cheeses, sausages, etc.) aren't sold, assuming I have the money to buy them, I'm met with a blissful silence. That's when the true discourse of privilege is on full display.
