> Run Away
"I. O-Oh." His face reddens in color as she mentions that wasn’t who she was talking about, shaking his head. "I. Well, I don’t think it’s official and. Stuff." He rubs his head a bit. He pauses to think about the guy chasing them and shakes his head once more. "I have absolutely no idea who the fuck that guy is, but he makes me nervous."
He sighs gently and nods at her suggestion. “…we might as well get moving, then. I have a feeling he’s poking around my past, and I don’t like it. C’mon, lets go.” He smiles gently, looking up as the wind blows at the grass, stepping and crunching it under his shoes with loud snaps as they travel in the direction he’s never been. Maybe there was a shack, he wasn’t sure. It was definitely possible.
Devin just laughs at his reaction, chewing her piece of grass. "Yeah, well maybe you should ask him if it's official." That's what she had to do with John, after all. Well sort of. It was more that he called her his girlfriend and it took her about a week after that to call him her boyfriend. But she'd always had an issue with expressing her emotions.
"I'm already nervous about it, especially since I can't fly now. I have no escape other than running. But I bet we could take him again if he showed up. 'Cause we're badass Striders." She grins at him and walks alongside, occasionally kicking a bit of dirt with the too-big shoes he'd lent her.
