where it started/how it's going: my atelier.

i bought a house at the end of 2022. it was a collection of white boxes and a few very interestingly wallpapered bathrooms. i've spent the time since then doing whatever the hell i want with the space. the first photo in this series was taken in april 2023, and the last was taken sometime in february 2025.

this room is south-facing and gets glorious sunlight for most of the day. i made both of my vash cosplays in it. it's still a work in progress, but i'm of the opinion that a maker's making space is never really "finished" and i'm still making adjustments to how i store things and what lives where. i have a box of swords and assorted props that i need to hang somehow. the closets need reorganizing for the second or third time. my sewing machine is in the living room right now.

the mess drives me kind of crazy, but i often start working on something and then the house needs me to deal with something else. i've been trying to practice reminding myself that none of this is going anywhere. i don't have to finish everything in a day. i deal with a lot of chronic issues and am usually stretched thin, but that's fine. i can get to it later.
