Hello everyone! Cornerstone Customs is proud to announce that we are back again for the holiday season, with new items and new offers.

We unfortunately had to go on hiatus earlier this year, since the Etsy store isn’t our main job and we had to put our focus elsewhere for a bit, but we’ve been working hard to create some new items for Pokemon fans, as well as some adorable yarn creations for anyone who loves to write or read to adopt.

Hey there everyone! Just a quick update on the shop, as I’ve gotten a few questions over the last few days on when we will be getting new items up.

At current we are sort of on a semi-hiatus. The reason for this is that we are looking in to new shipping methods and packaging to bring the cost of shipping down as much as we can. Up to this point we have been shipping everything out in the priority flat-rate boxes, but the increase in prices earlier this year we feel is just too much. It’s still an option we will offer, for those who need an item quickly, but we are trying to move away from it for the everyday, not rushed orders. 

“Let’s make a deal...”

We’ve had a bit of radio silence these last few weeks as we’ve begun to work on some time sensitive personal projects. But we are getting back in to the swing of the shop, and are working on some new shop projects,. Some that feature a particularity devious triangle (may I suggest not shaking his hand).

We’ve got a new batch of items ready to list over the weekend, and Gravity Falls items will hopefully be making their debut by the end of April (or maybe a little earlier if we don’t suffer any supernatural events!)

Before boxing up and shipping out the new crest of light, I was playing around with the photography of it. One of the things I really like about the new pendant settings I picked up is that it leaves the entire back of the stone open, so that when light is shone through it it isn’t covered up and you don’t see any crossed wires.

“ Then angels will shoot arrows of hope and light at the loved ones of those they've been sent to protect, and a miracle will happen .”

This is the second time I’ve worked with the Crest of Light and the first time I’ve worked with a pendant setting of this type, and I have to say I’m thrilled with the result. This piece has already sold over on my Etsy store, but I’ve still got a few of the other Digimon Crests available (and after watching Diigmon Tri over the weekend, I can assure you that there are more pieces to come!)

New item choices are incoming! We are now setting up to work with stone settings, which means cheaper purchasing options from the shop! These settings were purchased from our local gem and mineral show, specifically from Pretty Things. Again, a huge shout-out to Evelyn; she has my future business!

We have been wanting for awhile to explore pendant options that don’t require the use of wire for a few reasons, and we made the jump! Most of these pieces will likely become Megastone pendants from Pokemon, inspired by the in-game and anime styles of having mega stones held in objects other than a bracelet (think Wally’s necklace or Steven’s pin).

We hope you are as excited to see the final products as we are to get working on them!

Our new wire stock and colors! Purchased from our local gem and mineral show, we would like to give a huge shout-out to the store ‘Pretty Things’ and owner Evelyn. She was an absolute joy to work with and purchase from, and I am looking forward to seeing her at future shows (she unfortunately doesn’t have a website, or else I would be pointing you all there!)

We are so, SO excited to be showing off our new wire selections. I would say about 80% of our current stock has relied on golds and silvers. Those days are gone!

We have gold, silver, rose gold, bronze, antique bronze, champagne, obsidian, amber, platinum... and then some! These are beautiful colors that have very surprising differences in color in real life (bronze and antique bronze are truly in two different classes of color).

Returning from the local Gem and Mineral Show, we are going to have a lot of new items to work on and update with over the next few months.

One of my favorite events each year is the gem and mineral show that rolls through about thirty minutes from where I live. My parents and I began going back when I was a little kid, and then I began dragging my fiance along when my parents started staying home. How my skills have changed over the years! (I went from buying basic tumbled stones to these beauties). It’s also such a great thing that the show has been going for as long as it has been

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has followed us, liked and re-blogged from us, as well as purchased anything from the shop. It means a lot, and I wanted to let you all know I appreciate it. We just had our biggest shop update since we opened, and it is really because of you guys that we were able to (it was also great taking part in the Pokemon weekend festivities!)

We are going to be taking this week off for a chance to work on some personal side projects as well as plan some new pieces for our next update, and to also prepare for an upcoming gem and mineral show where I plan to restock my supplies. This last update ran me out of a number of items!
