was talking with milo @sockmonkeyofficial about this the implication that ed starts cohabiting with stede in his cabin from episode 7 onwards (ed casually taking naps on stede's couch, them having breakfast together seemingly being a routine for them, I could go on) make me so so so insane. driving myself absolutely mental just thinking about their nightly routine - just the two of them sat drinking and talking until the wee hours, never tiring of each others company, completely content to spend all night together.... until stede can barely keep his eyes open and ed's like alright mate I think we should call it a night don't you. and stede gets into his silly little nightgown and gets all tucked into bed and watches ed set up his little den on the couch and they say goodnight to each other all soft and sincere and longing for more than simply sleeping across the room from each other but being afraid to disturb this delicate balance they've struck, and stede probably leaves the curtain open because seeing ed so close by comforts him. and they sleep more soundly than they ever have done in years. just so casual and so fucking intimate at the same time. they're not sleeping together but they are. i'm feeling so unstable
