I kept hoping until the very last moment that we'd at least get some kind of statement about Valko's situation. Even if the announcement had been, "He's coming, but you'll have to wait another year," I would have accepted that.
Instead, the company chose to stay silent and completely ignore its players. No explanation. No communication. Nothing.
It's honestly disgusting.
I've uninstalled the game, and I have no intention of supporting it any further - neither financially nor emotionally.
What frustrates me almost as much is seeing people constantly move the goalposts.
"Maybe they'll say something on August 2nd."
"Maybe they're waiting for the full moon."
"Maybe August 5th."
"Maybe the eclipse."
"Maybe Mercury retrograde."
"Maybe the alignment of the planets."
I understand. Its hopium. But at some point, enough is enough.
A company shouldn't need a full moon, an eclipse, or a planetary alignment to communicate with its own community. If they wanted to address the situation, they would have done so already.
But one more thing I do want to say: this fandom is amazing.
I've seen people come together, support one another, organize events, raise money for good causes, create incredible fan works, and fight tirelessly for Valko. The passion, kindness, and dedication this community has shown deserve nothing but respect.
Thank you to everyone who cared and never stopped trying. You made this journey worthwhile, even if the company ultimately didn't.
